Ten Years after the 9/11 I like the suggestions posted on the ten years after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. This is because the government has failed to inform the citizens on the outcomes of their investigations. It is apparent that the attack caught the security agencies unaware and they did not respond in good time (Schonfeld, 2011). The author believes that, after ten years, more things ought to have been performed to restore the trust of the citizens on the intelligence services. I also side with this author because he offers suggestions concerning ways of avoiding future attacks and being responsive to the citizens.

Terrorist attacks are on the rise across the world and the groups are using new ways of assaulting their targets. I feel that America is now safer since the 9/11 because more departments were constituted to handle the security affairs of the country. For instance, the airports and other entry points are properly protected and this limits the chances of the terrorist accessing the country. Similarly, with the introduction of the new Homeland Security Laws, security organs are coordinating through sharing of vital information (Schonfeld, 2011).

This is essential since it establishes cooperation and the chain of command among the national security teams that protect the citizens. The Homeland Security Laws have ensured that there is no repeat of the 9/11 and all people should help in the fight against that threat. Considering this, the US is safer now and people are conducting their affairs without fear of being attacked by the insurgent groups. ReferenceSchonfeld, D. (2011). “Ten Years After 9/11: What Have We (Not Yet) Learned?

” Journal of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, 4(2), 702-704.
