...Civilization Introduction The “Mycenaean” in Mycenaean civilization was derived from the of Mycenae in Peloponnese, Southern Greece. The Mycenaean civilization, however, was made up of Athens, Thebes, Pylos, and Tiryns, and included the city of Troy when the Mycenaeans defeated the Minoans. Aside from Troy, the Mycenaeans also took the ruins of Knossos Crete (Bierly, Slide 17).
