Why Women Should Avoid Abortion Abortion is no longer an issue that the society can sweep under the carpet because many women in the world continue to procure the same citing many reasons. According to the proponents of the same, women have several reasons that support the act that this essay terms as ungodly and immoral. Among the reasons, women fear bearing and raising a child conceived after a rape case while others believe it is difficult to raise a child when they are still financially unstable. However, this discourse posits that whatever the excuse put forth by the proponents of abortion and other pro-abortion crusaders, no reason is good enough to encourage women to procure abortion. Reasons against abortion are broad and vary from religious values, human values, as well as the values associated with conscience. Issues related to primary human values appear at the top of reasons why women should not get abortion. It is crucial for women to put into perspective the unborn babies. It is definite that irrespective of the circumstance under which a woman conceived, the unborn child was not responsible in any way (Waxman, 2009, 08). It is necessary to allow the unborn babies enjoy the right of living and growing into a person just as the biological father and mother lived to the level of interacting to bring the child to life. Women in this case, ought to reduce their egoistic elements towards the unborn and be more humanitarian to them as well. Undoubtedly, the unborn kid does not have any clue on how and why it is at the exact place. It is not good to terminate a life without giving it a chance to live fully. Indeed, there are many other mechanisms of resolving related problems. Along with this line of thought, procuring abortion compounds a tragedy. It is understandable that the conditions which a woman conceives are tragic such as a rape and incest. Other occasions include diagnosing the pregnant mother with a health defect that could also include the pregnancy putting the health of the expectant mother at risk. Nonetheless, it is never justified to respond to one tragedy with another one. A critical question to the proponents of abortion is, how does killing a child eradicate rape incidences? If the unborn in the womb of mother is ill, do we cure him by taking his life? In general, the society cannot avoid the all issues arising from health by denying the existence of human beings. It is only recommended that the society puts adequate measures in place to care for raped women compassionately. Compassionate care does not in any way include ending the existence of the child in the womb. Care includes among other actions extending real facts to parents experiencing prenatal complications and directing them to other women with experiences that remain helpful to their colleagues. Pro-abortion crusaders should not force women with medical complications into abortion as a-quick-fix to their problems (Kelly, 2009, 16). Through this, they urge women to take away the existence of their kids as an alternative of letting them resist the odds. Let experienced medical practitioners deal with the health of expectant women experiencing high-risk pregnancies. An essential element in this context is that, treatment does not include among other actions deliberately killing a child. The author of this discourse comprehends and holds that when a child does during treatment for instance while advancing chemotherapy treatment of cancer and operation on ectopic pregnancy does not constitute abortion. Religious principles in major religious denominations do not permit abortion. It is against religious values to procure abortion. No religion allows a woman to carry out abortion. If women subscribing to the said religious outfits conduct abortion, they will surely receive punishment of their religious wills. In the Catholic and Methodist doctrines do not allow women to take communion if they procure abortion. Before allowing them back to communion, the churches outline so many things they ought to complete termed as penitence. Women should not abort because no religion allows them to do so. The other reason against abortion is that no matter hard the person procuring abortion tries; it can never wash away what abortion does to her mind. What abortion does is that, it kills and in the process takes away the life the unborn child. However long it takes, time does not remove the fact that there was murder. The action remains a malicious heartbreak forever. Women should never such a choice ever in their lives. Abortion is an action that always remains in the conscience of the woman who procured it. The woman will always think of what the future would have held for her child if she allowed her to see her future. Such thoughts will always remind her that she killed an innocent life. Since her conscience will always remind her that she killed, she will never enjoy a happy life. Persistent thoughts of abortion can have calamitous results. Nonetheless, there are no means to alter the past for people who have already procured abortion. The society can only arrange for acceptable ways for healing them from the act (Brody, 2009, 3). Procures can be referred to local pregnancy resource stations for them to go through post-abortion recovery programs. Science is very clear that unborn babies are human beings therefore, they live, have a separate life, and remain unique. A new life begins immediately after conception otherwise referred to as fertilisation in other medical terms. Terminating the new life does mean ending the ability to start a new life but ending an already existing life. It is advisable that the crusaders of abortion comprehend the aspects of modern science that covers the life of the unborn in details. The society violates the civil rights of children when they discriminate the unborn against the right to live. It is noteworthy to deprive the unborn of their basic rights based on their location i.e. the mother’s womb. Also denied their right to develop and grow to mature adults. The whole process is inhuman, discriminatory, and cruel. As opposed to what proponents of abortion claim, abortion does not liberate or empower women in the pretence of having women choose what to do with what they carry on their wombs. It is appalling to see that certain agencies enlist abortion as a right of women. The discourse discusses many reasons explaining why women should not procure abortion. At the back of their minds, women should ponder the aftermaths of carrying out abortion that closely relate with the consequences of sexual relations. The effects of abortion touch on all people involved including the woman procuring it, the unborn, as well as the family that lives with woman. Works Cited Brody, Jane E.
