McDonalds’s serves food to approximately 68 million customers on a daily basis. The company’s mascot is a clown character called Ronald McDonald. The company has been very effective at attracting kids and teenagers to its establishments. The chief executive officer of the company is Don Thompson. McDonald’s is one of the largest employers in the world with a global staff of 1.8 million workers. “McDonald's brand mission is to be our customers' favorite place and way to eat and drink”. Two of McDonald’s biggest competitors are Burger King and Wendy’s. McDonald’s is a public company whose stocks are traded in the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol MCD. The price of MCD stocks as of April 5, 2013 was $101.42. The market capitalization of the company is $101.70 billion.
