Abortion is a women issue and should only be debated by women only. It is the right for women to have an abortion in cases of rape, foetal impairment, and incest or even in cases of economic difficulties. According to Zampas and Gher (2008) abortion is a human right issue and should be adhered to rather than despairing women and girls who engage in unsafe abortion (Zampas and Gher). Moreover, allowing save abortion would ensure the reduction of maternal mortality. In addition, legal abortion would also help government reduces expenditure on unsafe abortions problems.

The article by Zampas and Gher researched on issues of human right in the world, and most notable focused on the repercussion of criminalization of abortion. The article concludes that an unsafe abortion should be discouraged and legalise safe abortion. Abortion is an ethical killing of the unborn baby. Moreover, abortion has been linked to increased cases of mental disorders among women who have procured an abortion (Fergusson). However, other pregnancies related results have not been associated to mental health problem.

For this reason, abortion should not be tolerated to safeguard the health of women and girls (World Health organization). Mental problems are known to hinder patient from participating fully in their life. Therefore, this article provides a researched finding of why abortion should not be legalised. The above arguments come from credible sources. First, the Zampas and Gher article is a journal that is written by scholars for their peers. Secondly, Fergusson article is a peer-reviewed finding of the effects of abortions.

Therefore, good research uses peer reviewed and journal articles to guarantee that the finding and argument are done as required in scientific research. Works CitedFergusson, David M.
