? Evidence based Modality Evidence based Modality Introduction The treatment modality discussed here is a silver dressing on a patient with Type II diabetes and a non-healing ulcer on the right foot. The clinical eductor granted the necessary permission during the clinical placement to explore/evaluate this treatment modality in sessions conductd by a district nurse. In order to facilitate proper follow-up of the case, a suitable case study was selected. This paper will briefly describe the format of this case study along with the essential parameters. Thereafter, the study will asses the effectiveness of the modality using related literature. Lastly, the paper will provide a rеflеctivе account on thе clinical applicability of the modality. Background The patient in this case is named Mr. X (name changed) in order to protect the confidentiality of the patient. The patient was aged 44 years, and was diagnosed with Type II diabetes nearly 7 years ago. Also, he had a non-healing ulcer on superior aspect of right medial malleolli, and there was high levels of exudate from the ulcer.
