The essay "Should Abortion Be Allowed To Prevail Within The Society" discusses ethics, the potential benefits and the risks associated with the abortion procedure. Other issues brought up in this paper are the legality of the procedure and if it should be permitted because the potential risks are adverse and can lead to loss of fertility, and even death. Those who support abortion assert that the pregnant women should not be held hostages; this according to them is denying the women of her body rights.

Forcing the mother to have a child that they do not want is not fair according to the pro-choice individuals. Raising an unwanted child brings more problems such as children dying of starvation; the pro-choice estimate that closer to millions of individuals commits suicide annually, 16,000 children die of starvation each day, and more lives are put in jail. This is attributed to the fact that the woman is forced to carry a pregnancy to term without her consent. Legalizing abortion has also made the situation worse; this is because it has led to many women performing unsafe and illegal abortions.

The arguments by the pro-choice individuals do not hold ground; the arguments are based on personal gratifications. Giving the woman to do her will other than what is prescribed by the doctor (in cases where the doctor allows the abortion because of the potential risks to the fetus and the mother) is exposing her to abortion complications. Abortion is known to cause complications whether performed in the safest ways or not.
