The book throws light upon the challenges and problems confronted by the parents of the children with autism. The authors strive to provide some guidelines for the parents and education professionals to deal adequately with the children and youngsters facing this disorder. There are several interventions available to deal with the children with autism however, choosing the most suitable is very important for the parents. The book helps making this selection by pointing towards the appropriate and simple strategies and treatment methods for the parents. Autism treatment is very broad issue and there is usually plenty of information found from different resources about its treatment however, the authors have made it very easy and accessible for the readers to get the information from five interventions categories explained separately in the book. The five interventions categories explicitly explained in the book in different chapters include “Interpersonal Relationships, Skill-Based Treatment Programs, Cognitive Methods, Physiological/Biological/Neurological Approaches, and Other Treatments and Interventions”. The authors straightforwardly describe the interventions by listing out the benefits and effects of each type of intervention and the potential costs and risks involved with each of the intervention category. In five chapters the authors have discussed almost 40 commonly used interventions and treatment methods for the autism individuals and evaluate these methods in terms of their utility and efficiency. Ideas Gained from the reading The book is very interesting and highly informative reading experience. It gives several valuable ideas and information about the possible ways of dealing with the individuals with ADS. It is worthwhile source of guidance and information for the parents having children with autism. In addition, the teaching professionals could also gain meaningful information from the book to prepare themselves for dealing with the children with ASD. The reading could significantly add to the understanding of proper way of dealing with children with ASD. There are certain important ideas gained from the book and the practical implication of the described interventions is also explained in the book making it easy to illustrate the potential outcomes of these interventions when applies to the classroom. After reading the book it became easy to deal with the children with ASD in the classroom because the book has provides several important tips for better dealing with these children. The reading of the book allows making well informed and well aware decisions about taking interventions for the treatment of children with ASD. The practice in the classroom would also be highly affected from this reading because after reading this book it has become possible to figure out the right way of treatment of children with ASD. The book tells about holding therapy and gentle teaching intervention that are very interesting and practical approached towards ASD treatment. The book also tells about the importance of communication, relationship building and play oriented strategies that can help in effective treatment of the children with ASD. Furthermore, the descriptions about different therapies like music therapy, art therapy and megavitamin therapy provide ample information and guidance to deal with the children with autism. ...

Learning disability is a hindrance in way of an individual to learn and perceives some behavioral aspects and inability to read or write.
Though severity and symptoms vary, in all sorts of autism spectrum disorders, a child’s ability to interact and communicate with others is affected. There is an increasing trend in the autistic children. However, it is not apparent that either it is due to improved reporting and detection of autism or a genuine increase in the cases or both.
This disability also affects how an individual agrees with ideas and behaviours of other people. It also affects how such people make sense of the deeds of other people surrounding them (Baron-Cohen, 2008). Autism is a spectrum condition meaning that although individuals with autism share certain challenges, their conditions affect them differently.
