Healthy People in Healthy Communities Healthy living among people in a community is paramount for their survival and for those who will follow after them. It is crucial that people remain healthy in every way possible because the healthy people of today influence the way the people of tomorrow turn out to be. The maintenance of health status of a community is exceptionally essential. With all the healthcare and medicine available, it is very crucial that every community maintains its ability to remain healthy (Lundy & Janes, 2009).

To have a healthy community does not only lead to a flourishing community, but also a community that is able to maintain itself. It enables a community to be able to be stable, self-reliant, united and peaceful. Basically, a community is a part of a population. A community is comprised of people who share something be it their culture, color, language or even origin. Once a community is healthy, then the community in question will have contributed a major part in ensuring the survival of part of the population.

A healthy community ensures and assures that the population is healthy, and that the population continues to grow in a stable manner. Health educators have programs that enable people to ensure that they remain healthy. Disease is a major contributor to the many people suffering in various communities. It is because of disease that people become unhealthy. As for the health educators, they are able to ensure that the programs involve regular checkups at the local health centers. They ensure that the vaccines are given at the appropriate time, create health plans such as exercises and other activities that will help boost the body system (Lundy & Janes, 2009).
