The suggestive factors that have been noted have indicated a relative delay in school bullying. School bullying implies bullying a person has an element of an advantage over the bullying of the victim such as strength and physical size, authority, social status, and popularity. Likewise, the constant negative action over a period has harmful behavioral impacts which can exceed many episodes; thereby resulting in the power differential of the bully over the bullied (Zwierzynska, 2013). The school bullying assessment will evaluate the anti-bullying programs at the school level.

Ultimately, school bullying is prevalent in many Arab countries, which includes Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates (Kazarian & Ammar, 2013). Many schools-based on intervention programs have been devised and implemented in an attempt to reduce school bullying. These have been targeted towards bullies, victims, peers, teachers, or at the school in general. Many programs seem to have been based on common sense or ideas about what might reduce bullying; rather than on empirically supported theories of why children bully, why children become victims, or why bullying events occur.

Further, school bullying has affected children’s physical and mental health; both short-term and long-term effects. There are various anti-bullying programs that have been implemented worldwide and are rarely evaluated. Earlier reviews, summarizing on bullying prevention, and anti-bullying programs meta-analyses, were limited. The various definitions of school bullying comprise different key elements which include physical, distress, psychological attack, verbal, harm to the victim, intended to cause fear, an imbalance of power (psychological or physical), a more powerful child (or children) oppressing less powerful one (or ones), and repeated incidents between the same children over a prolonged period.

School bullying can occur in school or on the way to school or from school and also it is not considered as bullying when two persons of the same strength (physical, psychological, or verbal) victimize one another.
