The cultural beliefs of the people being interviewed are part of their social aspects. Consequence to this if the survey is not culturally appropriate the interviewees will not respond appropriately to the questionnaires. The language of the survey should be easily understandable and should not provoke the emotions of the interviewee. The significance of this clouded in the change of attitude of the respondent and subsequent wrong responses may result. In consideration of the study not being culturally appropriate, some form biases may occur.

This includes design biases, interviewer biases and ultimately due to all these, reporting biases accrues. Design biases may result when the questionnaires are biased due to inadequate cultural considerations. Interviewer biases on the receiving end which presents great difficulty in its avoidance are as a result of the body language of the interviewer. The interviewer may provide clues to answers needed through their reactions thus inherently influence the outcome of the survey. As a result of these two biases reporting biases also effects, where the research is culturally inappropriate thus the findings collected are wrong, subsequently interpreted and reported wrongly.
