Extract of sample "Analysis of Uncompensated Data"

Data analysis plays an important role in decision-making and making plans and arrangements. In this essay, we will analyze three different hospitals versus the entire country's statistics. To start with, Waterbury Hospital collects a total of 56% percent of revenue from inpatient services and 44% from all outpatient services. Secondly, the operating margin lies at 1.63 % against the state’s which is 3.15%. The non-operating margin lies at 0.99% against the state’s which lies at 2.49%. This is a good indication that all operations are running in the right way despite a few challenges (Mullen 1). However, the debt coverage ratio is slightly higher than the state.

Saint Mary’s Hospital

The inpatient revenue contributes 44% while the outpatient contributes 56%. The operating margins lie at 4.78% against states, which lies at 3.15%. The non-operating costs are slightly lower than this. However, the debt coverage ratio is higher by 2.53% than that of the state. Additionally, the current rates of utilization measures are lower by 0.53% as compared to that of the state.

Griffin Hospital Worldwide

Both the inpatient and outpatient revenues generated are similar to those of Saint Mary’s Hospital. However, the operating costs and non-operating costs differ by 2.15% and 1.26% of the state as compared to Saint Mary’s Hospital. Further, the debt coverage ratio is 3.71% with that of the state. Finally, when we focus on the current ratio of utilization of measures, the hospital lies at 1.06% against that of the state which lies at 1.93%.
