2 mm axial slices. This presented no signs of an artifact or thrombus. In the final Sonography, the echogenicity was reproducible in images where the SMA was anterior to the abdominal aorta, making it clear that it was positional and artifactual in nature. This includes the transverse and longitudinal views of the patient’s abdominal aorta, Doppler sonographic interrogation, the computed tomography, as well as the image showing the absence of thrombus-like substance. I consider all these important, as they give the reader a clear view of what the authors are addressing, thus enhancing the reader’s understanding. The methods used in this case, including Doppler Sonography, did not conclusively detect the presence of aortic thrombus in the young patient.
