The amendment implies that the public are free to select their own religion and freely air out opinions without any intrusion from the government (Chalmers, 26). Amendment 2 This amendment grants the public permission to keep or bear arms with the permission of the relevant authorities concerned. This means that individuals are permitted to carry or bear weapons in cases of self defense. An example is that a civilian may be allowed to bear or use arms in cases of robberies to defend a person’s life or assets (Chalmers, 26). Amendment 3 The constitution states that soldiers should be privately contained to thwart them from being a peril to the public. This connotes that under no circumstance should civilians share the same residence or cohabit with soldiers as the impacts would be deadlier. Amendment 4 This amendment bars the government from carrying out searches and apprehensions of the public. It gives the public the right to ask for an arrest or investigative warrant from bureaucrats before consenting to arrest or searches. A breach of the amendment gives the public the right to sue the government or the officials who did the arrests or the search (Chalmers, 26). Amendment 5 This amendment states that the country’s citizen facing trials in a state institution should be given a criminal proceeding before a verdict is made on his plight. The constitution should treat such a person as suspect and should be protected from personal incriminating substantiations. This amendment implies that individuals are entitled to a right of audition in legal procedure to determine the contribution to the committed crime. Amendment 6 This adjustment gives the public the right to have a fast and fair trial during legal procedures. This means that an indicted individual has the right to obtain a lawyer of choice and an independent jury to oversee the proceedings of the case. A person is justified in suing the legal entity proceeding over his case if denied the right to a fair and fast trial (Chalmers, 26). Amendment 7 The amendment states that an accused ought to be granted his peers as jurors’ in civil law suits. This means that an accused has the capacity to have jurors’ who are his peers. This is because they easily identify with his needs and intentions and issue out the appropriate verdict. Amendment 8 This amendment of the constitution forbids the regime from using violence to obtain information from an individual or heavily tax its citizens. The amendment gives a person the right not to issue out information unwillingly and appeal if heavily fined on bail payments by the government. Amendment 9 The adjustment states the implications of an escape section, but does not clearly enumerate the procedure of handling such matters. Amendment 10 The amendments state that all powers relating to such issues like the citizens concerns are reticent to the state. This states that the state is the only institution allowed to exercise power or control over the citizens (Chalmers, 27). Amendment 11 The amendment states the legal procedure that taken by individuals in suing the populace of other states. This means that the national government of the accused and the accuser have to work together to deliver justice incase it exists (Chalmers, 27). Amendment 12 The amendment explains the procedure of choosing a country’s head of state and vice-president. The procedures and qualifications for selecting individuals are clearly laid down in this section (Chalmers, 27). Amendment 13 The constitution clearly forbids slavery amongst citizens and foreigners. The implication of this act is that Citizens and non-citizens are not to be held in slavery forcefully to serve. Amendment 14 The amendment clearly states the right of individuals within a state. It grants the general public, certain privileges from the regime like the right to fitness care facilities. The public are entitled to receive these rights from the regime, and other concerned entities and a breech in this give an individual to sue the regime or institution in a court of law. Amendment 15 The amendment states that race should not hinder the African – Americans from freely exercising their legal rights in electing a leader of their choice. The amendment implies that African- Americans have the right of implementing their democratic roles in ballot vote and should not be barred on the basis of race. Amendment 16 The amendment clearly states the rules governing the basic income tax of individuals. The state should fairly tax persons according their revenue rate. The public has the right complaining to the regime when heavily taxed. Amendment 17 This section of the constitution describes the legal procedure to follow in the direct voting of senators to the congress. A breech in the procedures results to the nullification of the whole process. Amendment 18 The constitution adjustment bans the production of exhilarating liquors within the country. Amendment 19 The section of the constitution allowed women to exercise their democratic rights in voting for their preferred candidate. The newly enacted laws in 1920 allowed women to implement their democratic rights of choosing their preferred candidate. Amendment 20 The section states the happenings between the period of election and the handing in of power to a new president upon completion of the election process. The activities and actions to follow when ushering in the new government are clearly outlined in the charter. Amendment 21 The section revokes the 18th amendment. Amendment 22 The constitution amendment confines the presidents period in office to two terms. A sitting president can not be allowed to be a head of state more than two successive terms. Amendment 23 The amendment includes the Columbian district to contribute in the presidential election system. This implied that the district was no longer alienated in the democratic process of electing the USA president. Amendment 24 The amendment gives the public the opportunity to vote in matters of significant interest like voting in federal matters. The constitution states that only persons above the age of eighteen years should be permitted to vote. Amendment 27 This amendment gives congress the right to make their own salaries without restrictions from institutions.
