Similarly, claims are being made against the West Bank which they believe and trace it out to the name of Palestina and the Jews consider it to be the original land where they actually originated from. Owing to all this, the Jews made inroads in the 20th century as a part of resettlement and protection from the Nazis and holocaust forces (Prince, p.7).

Palestine at the same time claims this piece of land to be their first Qibla (place of worship). The Muslims and the Palestinians in particular make the claims that in the period of post-Islamic spread where the Last Prophet asked the people to spread out to the place in order to spread the message of Islam. The Solomon’s Temple marks importance in the account of Muslim history where Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) ascended to heaven. Based on this and other religious affiliations, the Muslims of Palestine claim their demand for the piece of land in Jerusalem.

Part 2:
Since Israel was formally recognized as an independent state in the post-Second World War, the two neighbors have been engaged in declared and undeclared wars. The first of these came about in the year 1948. It was the Arab world against Israel and surprisingly Israel outnumbered the Arab world and enforced its existence among the Arab states.

The second war came about in the year 1967 to 1970. This time Palestine was assisted by Jordan and this war is commonly known as the War of attrition. Other minor and indirectly declared wars were also fought in between. These include the Civil Wars fought in between.

The Intifada series makes up for the important part of Palestine's struggle against Israel's occupation where it formally got engaged in wars with Israel. These came about in the year 1987 to 1992, and late on early 21st century.

The Gaza strip capture which was fought in 2007 was one of the significant accounts of events when Hamas took over part of the Gaza strip that had long been held by Israel.
In recent times, war broke out in the summer of 2014 where Israeli forces pounded the hideouts and alleged bunkers that are deeply spread across the Gaza strip leading to Iran and Egypt. The operation of Pillar of Defense was part of the same strategy which was fought in 2012. This offensive was named Operation Protective Edge.
