Part There have been innumerable studies conducted for the purpose of determining the main and basic problems of the United s of America whichled the country to its current position of being in a social and financial crisis. Most of them have deemed the same result that the government of US needs to change its current policies to avoid further conflicts and crises. They suggested that the foremost issue that authorities have to look upon is racism. Yes, all of us have thought that this evil have been eliminated from the society by the virtue of distinctive movements and efforts, made by numerous national heroes like Martin Luther King Junior. Sociological studies have shown that from the last 40-50 years, America has faced one big issue and that is Racism. Obviously, the intensity and mode in the practice of racism has changed but it has not been eliminated from the society. These changes can be explained with the help of an easy social test or a general survey such as: How many Black head of States have been elected in America compared to White Head of States. When someone gives extra privileges to an African American and treats him different from the others ones that is where racism comes in. The mode of racism has changed from ‘treat them like hell’ to ‘treat them different from others, and be in a good sense so they can feel that they are not one of us and lower than us’. In fact, it cannot be denied that there have been made certain efforts by general public as a whole, including the state, in which this element has been tried to be eliminated by organizing workshops in which people of all races sat together and worked together, by providing black children with equal opportunities to study at schools and by giving races other than whites to progress and flourish in America. For instance let us take the example of the Boston busing desegregation, although, it was a very hard time for the administration and people as a whole when the people of southern Boston turned on the Blacks, but it was an unprecedented effort by the government, not seen before. It was not only the busing desegregation; however, Boston has been the pioneer in making very significant intentions, clear in the riots and protests against the racial unbalanced actions. The children that were brought to southern Boston suffered deep emotional stresses, but they have laid some of the corner stones in development of the elimination of racial discrimination. The president Ronald Regan, however, had some policies, which may be said to be not so much in disconformity with the interests of all the races, especially with the interests of African Americans. In fact, it would not be an exaggeration if someone said the policies of Mr. Regan suggested had no care for the colored people of this country. For instance, let us take the example of his support from Bob Jones University. The university has been denied of tax exemptions from the IRS. The IRS basically denied tax exemptions to the colleges and universities, which had the policy of segregation on basis of races. The Bob Jones University had policies that may led to not interracial relationships between the students in the university, those policies were considered as segregation and discrimination by the IRS, which are the sole reasons why they were denied from tax exemptions. U.S. President Regan, however, supported to the university in this matter, and later justified that matter by saying about this case was never considered to be a civil right issue. Moreover, he said that he had no idea that the schools and colleges practiced racial segregations. Another one of Regan’s examples in which the factor, that establish, that he didn’t care for the blacks is when he never coincided in debates or questions on should blacks be given a right to vote. This has been observed and kept in view of his policies and not by his words. He was opposed to the Voting Rights Act by saying that may offend to people of the south. And when someone criticized his policy in not supporting the act, he considered that criticism to be a very harsh comment upon his character. The Rodney King verdict marks another significant event, and a chronological time in American history about the development of racism in the United States. Now this event shows that the racism is not only practiced from one side. In fact, there is a bit of racism triggered from the black community too. When the police officers were enforced to accomplish the bases that benefit the innocence of each man until in court have been declared guilty. In addition, the riots became the interest of the blacks; unfortunately, on that day 53 people were killed. At the court, it was not clear about why that jury absolved to those polices officers and footage the case, even though, they were beating Mr. King after he was lying on the floor, causing no harm to them, or even resisting the arrest. The film represented at court clearly shown how Mr. King was submitted first by a Taser, and after that five officials struck him multiple times with batons. Maybe it was due to the fact that the jury had become a little apathetic towards the incident, as they have seen that video film at court multiple times, in different angles, and also in slow motion. They became very impassive to finish that case, and passed an unfair verdict. However, the personas who committed that crime were whites, that matter was not highlighted that much. For this reason, on the case where polices officers, white males, committed a horrible assassination toward a colored man, the African American community decided in that circumstance to pursue equality and not superiority. The other most significant event in the history of the United States was when Mr. Barrack Obama became the first African American in been elected president, 2008. At these days, any one can see a big political and racial shift in the history of this country since Obama’s presidential campaign, moreover, because of his presidential electoral achievement taking in consideration, one more time, his ethnicity. If one compares the presidential election in 2008 with the early 1990s, no one may sees a huge difference in the America society’s thinking with the average mindset of the people as well the average thinking of politicians, and the mindset of government’s actions. But after a lot of effort, still an element of racial discrimination existing in our society. A very recent example on this fact is, the shooting incident that took place in Miami gardens on February 15th, 2015 where police officials fell down a black man named Lauvell Hall; he was schizophrenic and was a little mentally unstable, according to medical reports. At his home, he was attacking to his mother with a broomstick; she called to police to take him into a mental facility when police arrived to that house, they mortally shot him down. Part 2 First of all, before discussing the fact whether all the presidents, mentioned in that query, are present in heaven or not, one must first describe the mode on which one will determine whether the president has the right to be in heaven or not. For that purpose, it is stated that the presidents would be compared and judged on the basis of their domestic and international policies, their views and efforts on national security, their characters coupled with their means, and ways of presidential politics. Starting off with the domestic policy, it includes all the affairs of a country within its borders as opposed to the foreign policy. The domestic policy includes the largest of issues faced by the individuals of that particular territory to the smallest of issues. The national security is easily explained as the relationship between internal relations of the nation with external threats. And finally, every single thing occurring in the white house can be easily termed as presidential politics, meaning thereby every affair related to the president, when talking about administrative, legislative or any other issues, is included in the ambit of presidential politics. Starting off on chronological basis, the 38th president of the U.S is taken into consideration, i.e. President Gerald Ford. Although, his Whip Inflation Now failed miserably, he has to be credited with standing up before the Democratic congress that was elected in 1974. The Nixon’s Watergate case was at the climax of political scandals, and the country was in a shamble; the institutions that were once very respectable were now mocked. Apart from the effects over the Vietnam War, the country had not even started to fade away. Therefore, Ford was not given an easy task when he was elected as the President. He still stood up to the congress by using his veto power over the bills more than 60 times. Another one of his large accomplishments was when he signed the education for all Handicapped Children Act, 1975. He was a bit controversial in pardoning Richard Nixon after the Watergate scandal. He had an exquisite achievement in terms of national security when he officially finished the US involvement in the Vietnam War. He also signed the Helsinki Accords, which marked a significant move towards détente in the Cold War. He was a bit of a conservative, a wise character. The second in consideration is the president Jimmy Carter. His domestic policies and accomplishments included the creation of Department of Energy and the Department of Education as two new cabinet departments. He introduced a national energy policy that was vital in the conservation of energy. He was also a very firm believer of the natural environment as he took steps to preserve the environment, especially around Alaska. At his presidential term, a national security disaster took over a place when he was presiding the failed attempt of the Iran’s hostage crisis. It resulted in the death of 8 U.S servicemen, and an Iranian civilian. President Cater had different views than President Ford. He supported the same sex marriages and did not keep God in the public sphere. The next in line for our consideration is the former actor Mr. Ronald Regan. President Regan introduced the concept of Regonomics, which is the way he suggested to control the economy. Another one of his accomplishments was that he introduced the penalization and regularization of the war against drugs. He specifically opposed the concept of harmful intoxicants, and took steps to eliminate this evil. He also had the record of choosing the first female justice of the supreme court of the United States. He had strong National Security policies on the basis of which he took severe actions like invading Grenada. The 41st president of the U.S in our next consideration is George. H.W Bush. He had a number of domestic policies that were questionable, yet he had many political followers, and he is deeply appreciated. For instance, he introduced the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act. He also brought about statute ‘The Civil Rights Act of 1991 that was aimed at providing rights for the disabled people. He also reauthorized the Clean Air Act. This act was designed to make to the authorities bound of burning the fuels in a cleaner mode. Although some ones say that this was done in his administration to promote his own business, he is an oil businessman. He took a step in launching an air assault over Iraq when they invaded Kuwait during the Gulf Wars. He was one of the authors of the concept, the New World Order, where the bipolar world was converted into a unipolar world. Mr. Bill Clinton was the 42nd President of the U.S, and he had a number of domestic policies that were great accomplishments consequently in the long run. One of the greatest accomplishments during his administration was when he presided the U.S upon 8 years, in an historical event that represented the longest peacetime expansion in the history of the U.S. He also took steps for the equality and equity of the resources in the U.S as he gave a policy to impose more taxes on the wealthiest of the population and cut off the undue taxes from the 90% of the population who came last on the financial scale. Although, he was maintaining good domestic policies and accomplishments along with strong national security policies; he was involved in a political scandal, which almost got him as an impeached. The 43rd U.S president is George W Bush, who was considered to be one of the best, for some people point of view and in the eyes of the most republicans; however, he is considered to be the most violent U.S. president with the most ineffective and rugged policies of national security and peace. He had the most domestic accomplishments in terms of economy, child education, disabled rights etc. But he is frowned diplomatic because he is considered to be the disturber of world peace; however, he led the military invasions over Iraq and Afghanistan. The last in line is the current U.S. President Obama; Mr. Obama is actually on his second term and has a number of domestic and foreign accomplishments. He also has some shaky policies on national security; they are disturbing the world peace such is the case of the drone strikes. The order in which the U.S presidents deserve to be in heaven mostly are established, from at least, on the basis above mentioned. They are in the following order: Gerald Ford, Barrack Obama, Bill Clinton, George H W Bush, Ronald Regan, Jimmy Carter and George W Bush. Read More
