I had a firsthand experience when interacted with an international company from South America and there is a gulf in the style of communication in the organization from and that of this country. In this particular culture, loud, direct, blunt and interruption when another is communicating is discouraged, and it is a company policy to allow one to pass through the information first and then allow the other to contribute. The concept of time has been the most confusing piece of culture exposing the differences between the international employees and the local employees.

Against expectation, time frame scheduled for arrival is often flouted with wanton abandon. In the time is set in a stone, then one must anticipate a meeting with almost half empty members as the rest of the party is yet to arrive. Adapting the new culture might have been tasking but it was necessary for a fit in. particularly my time frame was relaxed in order to accommodate fellow colleagues. In addition, the greeting style conformed to the new one at the international organization.
