I have some Canadian friends who we share a lot with concerning our different cultures and they have shown me how interesting their culture is. The study of English and the study of Canadian culture is a dream that I am determined to live for and there is no any other better University than Ottawa that can help me achieve this. The University will help me not only to achieve my childhood dreams but also to live to my fullest. Below personal statement that describes who I am. My goal is to further my education in English and to obtain in-depth knowledge in Canadian culture. My special interest lies to study technology and how it affects the society mostly in shaping students’ identities. I have worked in an organization with diverging cultures that has shade light in the importance of cultural integration and harmonization at work places. Even in case of conflicts, the parties involved in the conflict have their respective and often times conflicting goals at the root of the problem. Goals play an important role in conflict as they primarily drive the desired outcomes for the players in the conflict, which often change through conflict interaction.
Due to accidents I gained another point of view on life, from both sides, the one of inflictor and the one of affected person, having a contradictive experience, such as driving my mother’s car and hitting another driver in his car at the same time. It’s because of this danger, that my mentality started changing and I started thinking in a different way.
Every situation is handled in a different way and no one can handle all the conflicts in a same style. Conflict management generally depends on two major factors that are assertiveness and cooperation (Darling, Walker, 230). There are five conflict management styles established on the basis of importance of objectives and relationships are to the contradictory parties.
In a managerial role, I foresee lots of situation that can create ethical dilemma. Indeed, in the current environment of rapid globalization, diversity has become intrinsic part of work environment. Interacting with people coming from diverse background, cutting across culture, race, color and nationality would require massive effort of understanding.
I believe in purpose, or at least something that transcends blind allegiance to the dollar, and this belief has taken me beyond my previous concerns scholastic concerns into new realms of academic investigation. In transferring, I
