For one, Samantha Kohler takes a lot of interest in hiking, which she often takes pleasure in enjoying along with friends and family on those special occasions and feel-free moments. Samantha has always thought it’s very relaxing and relieving, while also efficiently preparing her body, mind, and soul for daunting tasks ahead. Samantha enjoys biking too, alongside other hobbies such as camping. In addition, she loves to sit and enjoy a game of football, baseball, basketball, or hockey either live or on television. In the course of this affection, she has inadvertently fallen in love with a couple of sports teams whose matches she has lately found nearly impossible to miss. She loves cheering her teams on and reveling in the glory and ecstasy of a victorious duel. But nothing bites the heart like a favorite team getting a real hammering from the opponents. In addition, the banters from the opposing fans after such games usually tend to transform into the stuff of nightmares for Samantha.

Over the years, Samantha has come to appreciate the joy of a good read. According to her, books educate, books entertain, books inform and books increase one’s wisdom. She loves to explore a variety of genres, be it academic, fictional, poetry, short stories, history, or real life – she will cherish them. She is the kind that takes their time with books, partly why she intends to have her own personal library collection in the comfort of her home in the future. She takes her time and patience to enjoy what the author is trying to say and the way in which they put their messages across and hence she can take even a whole month on a single novel against the wasteful habit of reading a great, once-in-a-lifetime piece in unnecessary haste. She prefers hard copies as she finds e-books rather un-enjoyable and uncomfortable.

Everyone would tell you that one of the greatest pleasures of life is traveling (traveling to new places, meeting new people, striking new relationships, and sampling the beauty of the world). Samantha couldn’t agree more. She steadfastly believes there is an amazing wonder and beauty in the soul of those who delights in traveling. Even if it means a small visit to a distant relative, to Samantha a change of environment refreshes the soul. Traveling also enables her to sample various foods from different cultures of the world. She loves a well-prepared meal and in addition, Samantha loves trying out various dishes. She insists food and fruits are one of the greatest gifts from nature.

When am not enjoying a past-time or two, Samantha is spending quality time with family and friends or is busy engrossed in her school work or working at her part-time job. As earlier mentioned, she is a student at De Anza College where she is currently majoring in communication education. After her graduation, she considers doing her master's though she still is unsure whether to pursue her master's in PR or not. When the time comes, she is confident she shall have gathered vital advice from family, peers, professionals, and adults, personally critically thought out the matter, and came up with a sound decision. Upon completion of her studies, Samantha plans to aggressively venture into a number of employment opportunities such as image management, becoming a public relations specialist, a marketing guru, and a competent and reputable entertainment, sport, and fashion public relations manager. At the moment however, to keep up with financial concerns, and also add some valuable experience under her belt, she is working as a hostess at a restaurant in Sino situated in Santana Row while also undergoing training to be a cocktail waitress.

Over the years, Samantha has found inspiration, information, and solace in good music and movies (though she is not so much into hardcore rock or country music). There is always a tingle in her heart whenever she discovers a new and beautiful song. Her favorite music band is the Haim and was recently privileged to watch them perform live on stage at the SF.

However much music, movies, and the little beauties of life can lift one up, for Samantha, there is nothing close to as inspirational as the love and the presence of family. She loves her family. Without them, life would fizzle out of Samantha and fade out of existence. She was raised by her mother alongside her elder sister. With them, she has grown to appreciate the highs and lows of human existence. She is also blessed with a step-sister who she equally adores and cherishes. Her family has always been supportive and comforting, and she feels she owes them a lot, eternally.
