The movie was produced by Albert S. Ruddy under a screen play by Coppola and is based on the novel by Mario Puzo called The Godfather. Composed of thirteen main characters, the cast is well allocated and plays a crucial role in the formation of the melodrama.
The Hollywood movie was produced mainly in New York with some setting taken in parts of Sicily and Las Vegas. The main genre displayed by the actors is actually action and some components of drama and due to the iconic sections; it forms a benchmark for all other movies of the same genre such as Goodfellas and Scarface. The movie is one of the revered and most parodied with nods appearing on scenes such as the head of the horse in the bed.
The cast is composed of Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone, Al Pacino as Michael, James Caan as Santino, Richard S. Others include seven more nominations by Oscars in previous years. Gangster movie forms among the oldest movies in film genre productions and thus have an influential force in the industry. The Godfather rates close to more than three hundred watchers and is still one of the most sought after action epics.
