The cartels responsible for drug trafficking in this country have diversifications wherein their activities pose a serious security challenge to law enforcement agencies and the public. Following the intensity and demand for market, drug traffickers have sought to set in place brutal measures destined to control markets and trafficking routes (Christopher & Miller, 2005). With that respect, the government of Mexico sought to establish rules and regulations for governing and maintaining security with the aim of eradicating drug trafficking and their subsequent consumption.
