? College Introduction Greek mythology is not a new term in the world of literature. This is a term commonly used to refer to the ancient times when they used myths for their teaching and several beliefs of their gods and heroes. Scholars have spent sleepless nights trying to figure out and come with concrete answers as to how this ancient Greece word of religion and the belief curves the modern civilization of the current rule of the land (Hall, 2008). This paper will critically analyze the oldest believed Greek literature and the film industry. Archaeological findings have helped in shedding light and giving an eagle eye view on the decorations of the many artifacts. Research has proved from the geometric colorful designs are some of the key component that form the skeleton of the Greek literature (Hall, 2008). The interesting part is how this well-illustrated by this ancient fathers in the world of literature today. This paper recognizes the oldest sources used were the Odyssey, Iliad and the epic poems. This paper begs to pose a question to all the readers and the research ever conducted, whether is there anything in the world of Western literature that has more frolicsome, potent and abundance than the Homer’s Odyssey? There’s undoubtedly none. This paper gives a Critical analysis of the ‘Return of Ulysses’ some fabulous work done by our learned friend Edith Hall, (Hall, 2008). She has an art of entertaining and enlightening the whole world in general by her way of accurate choice of words in her piece of work. Derek Walcott, Ralph Ellison, Stanford W. Be dell, and James Joyce are just but a few of the artists that have left landmark in the world of literature. Their transformation of this art has been mysterious and spellbinding powerful work that deserves all the credit. This great work is easy to understand for the psychologists, philosophers and historians alike (Allan, 2012). In a nut shell this pieces are of help in identifying our fabric as novelist, composers of opera, movie directors, and science-fiction writers. Odyssey has been taking the lead as the ancestor of our modern Western Novels, it has been a marvelous journey in the field of literature and Edith hall does not fail to mention and recognize these great strides that does not have and end. It has been a long journey that started with a single step of archetypes such as the patient woman and that fatherless child, not to fail to mention the returning wander (Stanford, 2008). Among this the interpretational dedicated ‘Odyssey’ acts as the catalyst and have provided the reader a strong endorsement of this novelist’s introduction creating suspense on what will happen next. Penelope had been quit patient for her husband’s homecoming. Hall has noted that women in the ancient literature who were wise enough were treated with great respect and honor. This paper acknowledges that filling the psychological gaps had to be interwoven with Homeric perspective as the reader streams down the Penelope –Odysseus marriage history. The modern life would only live in anticipation of emulating the olden pattern of life. It’s believed that old is Gold (Allan, 2012). The main aim of Odyssey is to directly invoke strong power of talismanic psychological power that was in existence by that time. The context of sexual tension in this Odysseus is also highlighted in her art of work. Hall who is an educated research professor of drama and classics based at Royal Holloway, University of London has done a colorful art and her work is filled with most exciting pieces of work that leave the wanting for more. She has managed to quench the thirst of the reader. Her observation on Odyssey’s, is interesting she points out that it has echoed antiquity and it owes some measure for its allure. This paper can’t ignore the fact that the surprising effects of the spiritual children. This is cutting from one generation to another passing this great effect of colorful work to generations to come, (Allan, 2012). In the film industry, there are several tensions as to give the best results to the audience. This calls for accurate calculations in composition and style. Hall gives the fundamentals on film making which must be adhered to. According to Hall, the film and the poetry all inter-marry in way or another. So far the achievements of the epic poetry were to create a long and lasting story-cycle with an aim to achieve human achievements ever recorded (Allan, 2012). This paper acknowledges Mythical narration has played a great and important role in all aspects on genre from time immemorial from that time of Greek literature. Taking a flash back on the Classical –era mythology, there was an over flow of the commonly referred Titans, the latest pantheon of their gods and also goddesses were confirmed. This paper appreciates the principal Greek gods as the Olympians who were residing in Mount Olympus, (Stanford, 2008). They were always under the watch of Zeus. Here, the limitations are from their number of twelve takes the image of modern idea. The ancient people had very distinct beliefs like their gods had significant importance and their believed that their gods were not affected by diseases and were immune to immortality and interestingly unfading youth. Their common use of nectar, ambrosia and special products considered to be of high value was believed to cleanse their blood as a form of renewal. This in the modern society helps us to understand their divine faith that can be used as a guideline on the religion belief that we do practice on the current times. Though this was used to communicate different interests they had an area of expertise that is still being practiced in the current age times. There also came a different age commonly referred to as the heroic age. During this type of age, the genealogical poetry and the epic created cycle’s stories. These stories were clustered among several individuals who at that time were considered as Hero’s in the society, (Hall, 2008). This can be given a side view, where we try and follow the fates of some family’s success stories. Everyone in the world would wish to be associated with the high and mighty families. There is none so far who would like to leave a poor legend. The world today is striving hard to emulate the ancient Greek mode of life. Creating these spheres has been a norm. It’s believed they used to take oath and never disclose the secrets that made them the heroes for that matter (Stanford, 2008). There was also rise in this cult in the gods and heroes where were new gods born, but raising the heroes was a continuous process that built the center of the local group’s identity. This has created monumental events of Heracles and they have gone books of history as books as having achieved three main events that are namely the Theban cycle, the Argonautic expedition, and Trojan War. Though it’s a complicated mythology, there might be real Man in this kind of tracing their history. This understands the mechanics that prevailed and perhaps there was some kind of chieftain-vassal. In this kind of kingdom, the Argos was also traced. There are scholars who suggest the history of Heracles might be an allegory of the sunshine that have been like a passage via their twelve constellations of zodiac. There are other points that are worth noting, is the similarity in other cultures that have interest in the history of Heracles where they used local adaptations of their hero myths that have clear establishment. Heracles was the sons of Alcmene and Zeus, (Hall, 2008). This people had a fantastic solitary which had several folk-tales. Their themes were well structured to have a popular legend. This played a great role in the drama and comedy industry where provided the much required materials in the formation of the film industry. They have given the modern world a reason to smile. Previously the film and comedy industry was not performing the way it does today, (Hall, 2008). It has been noticed that those in the media and moreover in the comedy. The rewards are very colorful due their hard work they have done for many years. The individuals in the comedy industry can attest to this fact. It is believed that Heracles attained the highest social prestige through various appointments as they are believed to be their Kings those days. It might have served as a legitimation for their migration to their new quest Peloponnese, (Hall, 2008). This had also numerous descendants from the Heracles. The fairy tale is that all this heroes had something in common that is still being imitated by the current world having this top ‘secrets’ mode of life. Jason would easily buy the story of a man with one sandal who they believe in prophet statement to quench his ambitions of being the king of the land. At this particular duration the tension revolved in his mind whether the Odysseus statement were to come to pass. This was at the ancient times when these historical facts were to be believed that it would go in their favor, (Hall, 2008). Although the writing of the poem by Apollonius came during the ancient times of the third century BC, their compost ions of the famous story Odyssey shows some familiarity with the then exploits of this man Jason. It managed to rise and gain a lot of familiarity with the local legends, (Stanford, 2008). This paper can’t ignore the houses of Atreus, then came the Theban cycle. There was the Trojan War and the Argo. This was a generation of chiefly and was entangled with horrific memories of war. They were faced with several challenges among them was the devolution of power. Some problems that have ran from one generation to another. This appreciates the art of poetry and film for its immense teaching that it offers to the whole world today. Hall makes an effort to unite the whole world with her art of poetry and novels through the reader being an eye opener to our political leaders, religious leaders and the Professors alike. Her art goes a long way in making of nations that can be recommended to any institution. We all acknowledge this recommendable job. Hall has been an icon in the world of art and she remains a mentor to her students and all the readers that take time to view her work. Please take this to all the generations that will follow you and keep the fire burning. This paper salutes your high end work, much appreciated. Your student will definitely flow suits.
