Author, in his contemporary review about the compensation case for comfort women, detailed how the women were recruited into the sex slaves trade thru the death railway. Author claimed that evidences and records about comfort women were long kept in the archives of the Foreign Ministry. The publicity caused by enslaved women caused embarrassment to Japan that led to an apology from Secretary Kato. However, the review contends that there is still a denial from the government on the matter.
Comment: The review gave an insight on the details how the women were recruited into the brothels, and inspite of evidences found, the government of Japan still affirms its denial of responsibility. Trusted website, and article has been published.
