The symbol of nationalism is a character that is intrinsic and non-transferable. This is an individual perception which no one is forced to have. In the story, there is Lynette, who is a professor who is well-liked by Mr\. Harris and also by Clare Mr. harris only wife(REFF). In most cases, there were a couple of arguments and debates between the two. Never has Mrs. Harris ever agreed with her husband on the patriotism praises he normally proclaimed.

In addition to this, Mrs. Harris has also never agreed with her husband on the statements he made about Limbo Island (REFF). In general, Mr. Harris family included; Cathy his favourite daughter, Nigel, Dexter and Lennie (REFF). Limbo island is a symbolic name of that place which means a place of oblivion and it can also be translated to be a place of imprisonment (REFF). This means that there is no such freedom in limbo. Its location also contributes to its imprisonment nature. It is not exactly located in the Caribbean islands but between the southern island and the united states of America (REFF).

The literature of the story revolves around the nature of identity.
