Extract of sample "A Lens of the American Multiculturalism"

The American Society offers unexpected cultural aspects that the character prepares to combat. Unfortunately, a multicultural America cannot champion for radical changes in the education systems of the country to accommodate the non-natives. As a Dominican girl, she cannot absorb the frustrations that the American culture poses to her. The phenomenon is inappropriate and demands change. Finally, Julia Alvarez depicts most of the characters in a situation of struggle to master languages used in America.

Carla and Laura face difficulties in fitting in America. A multicultural America should accommodate cultural diversity. It is inapt to use language as a cultural dimension that isolates and jeopardizes the power to interact and connect with the Native Americans. However, the Snow ends with a depiction of determination in Yolanda to find a place where she can fit and articulate her voice, and this gives hope for some change. In conclusion, Julia Alvarez portrays American Multiculturalism negatively as it affects the lives of the non-native characters in adverse ways.
