Insert Lecturer’s The New Orleans Spirit The narration is about the encounters in the of Orleans (Rose). They are deep seeded emotional feelings of what the people went through pointing out to their triumphant during the difficult times they had to go through. It is a reflection of the past as they approach the JazzFest where they remember, atone and carry out a renewal of their self. It is a counter against the new feeling in the city. They intend to have their visitors have a clear understanding of previous happenings in Orleans and what still occurs as regards to the suffering of the human kind.

The festival is a uniting factor to the rebirth and reemergence of the New Orleans. During this occasion, they take the time to claim their lost heritage and what they expect of themselves in the days to come. The collective idea of getting themselves, of course, is what they term as the New Orleans Spirit. It is illustrated in the value they accord the visitors attending the festival. Also, enhancing the cultural sensation of the natives here is utmost to the festival. The narration covers varied themes including the cultural setting of residents in Orleans, the white folks who are portrayed as rich against the poor black guys.

Further, it encompasses the rebirth of Orleans. Humanity is also illustrated throughout the text with the explanations on how the town now considers humility, giving and generosity. The latter contrasts with the initial perspective where it was only a dream.Work CitedRose, Chris. 1 Dead In Attic. New York: Simon & Schuster Paperbacks, 2007. Print.
