Wordsworths Religious Experience With Nature The five section poem provides a broad perspective over which a number of issues can be painted. Wordsworth has an intimate and close relationship with nature to the extent that it becomes a source of spiritual meditation. Wordsworth intimates that there is a realization of God in the natural setting. Throughout the poem Wordsworth employs religious expressions to illustrate his feelings. There are various elements of spirituality that are inherent in the subsequent passages of the poem.

Case in point is that thoughts of spirituality and death are employed to define life after death (Wordsworth 33). Wordsworth feels closer to God when visiting the Wye and areas surrounded by the natural establishments. The 24th and 31st lines, the narrator has a tendency of transcending to Abbey whenever he is in the city. Wordsworth narrates that whenever he is in a natural setting, the mood is a blessed one. Moreover, the narrator submits that whenever he is visiting Wye, the burdens of life are lifted and there is a manifestation of rest.

Wordsworths religious experience is revealed in the 31st line when he suggests that whenever in contact with nature, there is tranquil restoration (Wordsworth 34). The 48th and 58th lines of the poem suggest that there is the propensity of harmony with nature to the extent that Wordsworth feels omniscient when in contact with nature. Essentially, peace and security are derived when in a natural environment. Ideally, Wordsworth feels closer to the almighty when visiting Wye and such tendencies ensure comfort and peace.
