Matlab programing Name: Institution: Introduction This task was conducted in a bid to find a solution to the problem of optimizing combination of E12 resistors in series. Resistors are components of electricity which obstruct the flow of electric current and in the process make the current do actual work like lighting, heating, producing sound, magnetism and the like…

Introduction

It is to see to it that the resistors used are not unnecessarily too many and that the value of resistance that they form in combination are the closest to the desired value of resistance. Problem statement Resistors are measured in SI units known as ohms. In a bid to ease the process of manufacturing in bulk, the manufacturers of resistors usually do it in some standard set measures. These standard resistors are known as E12 resistors. They are the resistors with the values 10 ?; 12 ?; 15 ?; 18 ?; 22 ?; 27 ?; 33 ?; 39 ?; 47 ?; 56 ?; 68 ?; and 82 ? Designers of electrical components who which incorporate the use of resistors usually design for some arbitrary resistance values which shall best suit the requirements of the component under design. Given that resistors are manufactured in the 12 standard values, this implies that the designer shall have make an appropriate combination of a number of the standard resistors to form a value that is as close to the designed value of resistance as is practically possible. The combination should use as few resistors as possible to minimize costs and this calls for proper optimization. ...

Asystematic Approach to cost-Based optimization in Data Mining enviroment
As for instance, the query optimizer determines whether to use indexes for executing a particular query or not, and which technique should be adopted for joining multiple tables. Such decisions pose enormous impact on the SQL performance. The technology of query optimization is essential for every application ranging from analytical systems to content-management systems and from operational…

c. The model will be solved through the help of the objective function applied, in which the decisions variables will be used in terms of controlling the operations and also avoiding the constraints to get the maximized productivity. d. One of the main constraints in the functional operations was limiting the machine’s productivity due to the depreciation. Another main constraint was time…

Program Theory
Funnell and Rogers (2011, 58) stated that an effective social policy/ program needs to be able to overcome constraints arising from institutions, human resource, finance, and even politics that might be involved. In developing a social policy/ program, Funnell and Rogers (2011, 75-77) further noted that a theory is usually developed around the policy/ program, and it presents a feasible and…

Besides social evils, the high rate of unemployment especially among the graduates could have led to an increase in the dependency ratio meaning that earnings of those who are employed would dwindle significantly because of many people relying on such people, which mean that there will be less economic activities (Rushe, 2013). According to Bhatia (2013) in the recent past the issue of…

Evaluation questions According to Funnell and Rogers (2011), it is essential to interrogate or investigate any proposed program theory in order to establish whether it is viable or not or whether the stipulated outcomes will be achieved or not. The evaluation questions also collect critical information about the actual people who are expected to implement the program theory and if they currently…
