ARTICLE ANALYSIS The article Job Growth Fails to Help Paychecks of Workers by Dionne Searceyjan published on 9th January, gives a clear insight into macroeconomic concern discussed in the book chapter for it addresses issues of unemployment and economic growth. The article explores the reasons behind stagnating economic growth despite job growth and promising economy. The article argues that despite these prevailing economic advantages there have been failed paychecks of workers. Through critical analysis the concerns raised by the article are relevant since various microeconomic units or players contribute to the aggregate macroeconomic goals.

The article addresses concern of robust job growth. Through macroeconomic analysis lowest unemployment rate witnessed in the US since June 2008 can be attributed to a rapidly improving economy. The concerns of the article are relevant and practical since we would expect changes within the economy. Unemployment is for a fact a negative phenomenon in societal setup as it adversely affect in different directions or dimensions. Unless the Fed act and counter checks its macroeconomic policies, little to no impact can be felt in the economy and in worker’s paychecks thus harming the prices.

The effects of unemployment are verified through their presence and thus. Unemployment can be considered a multi-dimensional phenomenon and one would expect that when it is lowered workers should begin to enjoy the fruits. This is because it is a social growth affected by population expansion with a phenomenon since it effects the social structure shape and pattern. These attributes are directly correlated to price stability within the economy. So as the article suggests, the Fed should be possibly persuaded to move sooner rather than later to increase rates to lessen future inflation or the risk of speculative bubbles.

They don’t need to wait for wage growth to increase to raise the rates, they can act speedily to save the economy and ensure price stability and sustainable economic growth. Thus the article is very important in addressing these critical aspects that affects the US economy. In a broader context, the reading relates to my career goals in many ways. More specifically, the goal of understanding sustainability of economic growth and price stability. My career goal is working as a consultant and offering advisory roles pertaining to economic growth and unemployment.

The article is very relevant in such pursuit. Through critical analysis, the article can be faulted in a way. The article lacks quantitative data that could have otherwise assisted in understanding of the concerns of how the Job growth has failed to help paychecks of US workers. This makes the analysis of Dionne Searceyjan rather shallow. The quantitative data would have also ensured and provided a high level of precision of measurement and statistical power. In the long run it would have made the claims of the article more factual by supplying a greater depth of information from the workers in a particular research setting.

Nonetheless, the article is very relevant in addressing macroeconomic concerns. There is likewise a deeper description of the basic relationship between the article and the chapter of the book.
