Most of the organizations notably both the profit and non-profit organizations have began to realize the importance of adopting best and improved management principles and practices in order to be able to establish themselves and to adapt into the current corporate environment. In regard to the principles of best management practices, management is widely recognized as the intangible asset and a resource of an organization which is the key factor towards the achievement of organizational sustainability as well as the competitive advantage thus contributing to the accelerating pace and the overall growth of the organization (Agarwal 2003). According to the various research provided by scholars, in the current corporate world the initial and traditional factors of production such as the capital, labor and land have become less important in the achievement of optimum positive economic and social returns without the incorporation of the concept of management. As the implication of this, it is notable that most of the organizations have concentrated in the investment and the creation of value and convertible economic results through the integration of management principles and practices while running the operations of the organization (David Knights 2007). The importance of management in the running of organizations has been acknowledged by most of the scholars and researchers as the major strategic resource management in the achievement of the organization competiveness and the organizational sustainability. The increased dynamicity, complexity and the complexity in the operations of the various organizations has sparked the interest and the need to adopt better and enhanced management. The key importance of management is its purpose and role in the formulation and design of management strategies, these strategies are regarded as the essential corporate resource which provides the sustainability and the competitive advantage to the organization. The major part of the workforce is the presence of qualified employees who are well educated with the relevant knowledge and experience for the designated job, to be able to realize the full potentiality of these resources quality and the better management has to be there (Agarwal 2003). The attribution of an organization to having a complex and intensified management structure simply means that management is a strategic resource and plays an important role in the management of various other factors of production such as capital, labor and other inputs as well as the output. To give an example of companies in this category which consider management as strategic tool include the accounting firms, high-Technology companies, advertising agencies, Research and Development units, Engineering and Consultancy firms. The concept of management has become a subject of interest within the various organizations as they advance in the adoption of other practices such as the information systems and the incorporation of new technologies (Shi 2007). Management is becoming a centre of interest attributed by the arising issues in regard to the organizational structure, organizational design and the implementation of the organizational plans. Despite of the importance of these aspects in the success and the better performance of the organization, it is undoubted there is the need for the proper and appropriate management to ensure that there is a comprehensive framework, conceptualization and monitoring of all the operations that are taking place in the organization (Agarwal 2003). Most of the organizations have adequately paid attention to the management as the emerging concept in the current corporate world and its positive implications on the performance and the competitiveness of the organization. This characterization has been attributed by the various existing perspectives on the adoption of management practices within the various organizations in the various sectors of the economy. The major notable perspectives is the management considered to being a business development strategic practice whereby management as well as the organizational competencies are linked and integrated together for the sole purpose of wealth creation. Another emerging perspective is attributed to the advent of the new technologies characterized with technological innovation and in this case the management of these systems is vital for the effectiveness and efficiency to be achieved (David Knights 2007). From the above perspectives, this research report refers the management as a socio-technical practice or operation which adopts the various information system and the organizational theory practices and incorporates them together. It is important to note that as the organization restructures its operations to fit into the current technological advancements the concept of management has become a strategy in ensuring that they translate into positive implications to the organization (Shi 2007). This research on the importance of management in an organization has adopts the theoretical conceptualization to investigate and to explore the impacts on the establishment of the concept of management from the different perspective of the organization. There is utilization of the various constructs which identifies the impact on the change of the management in relation to the organizational behavior in addition it is notable that there is evolution and the transformation of the management in the context of technology from a simple technological design to a sustainable organizational resource. The center of interest in this research paper discussion is the innovative aspect of the management in regard to its methodology and the adoption of the new technologies, notably more importantly and specifically is the contribution of management in the achievement of efficiency and effectiveness within the organization. The research is involved with the examination and the study of management in the context of the adoption of the new technologies, and the organizational adjustments which is essential for business organizations in coping and adapting to the new corporate and business environments (Agarwal 2003). For the purpose and the objectives of this research, health care sector of the economy have been chosen in the examination of the importance of management in the organization. The two sectors have been identified as crucial and sensitive to any managerial adjustments therefore the management effectiveness and efficiency can be easily determined in its organizational processes. The research is based on the banking and an health care organizations case study which have began to adopt the new principles of management in which both the two organizations consider them to be of strategic importance in the current corporate world characterized with competition and quest for sustainable development (Walburg 2006). The results in which the report on this research tries to justify is that Effective management is essential for the effective performance and the success of the organization. The decisions that are made by the management have a greater influence to the workers in all the levels, it is also notable that major stakeholder mainly the investors and the donors examine the management of an organization before engaging on investment or donating funds (Ivancevich 2001). Effective management is able to determine opportunities and materialize on them for the benefit of the organization. Management as a function ensures that employees are adequately supervised on its day to day activities and ensuring quality. Decisions made by the management team impact the organization both in the log run and the short run thus considered to be an important asset. Management is responsible in the determination of the organizational corporate culture. Positive corporate culture is important in ensuring sustainability and the maintenance of the organizational competitive advantage, employee job satisfaction and productivity. Management training is also crucial in the career development of its managers which enhance their leadership in the running of the organization, effective management enhance career development strategies which is important in building a management team with the best cooperation (Rainey 2009). The research also provides the importance of the various levels of management right from the executive level, upper level managers who determine the direction of the organization and the middle level managers who are obligated with implementation of the strategic plan. Therefore management at all level should be enhanced to ensure that policies and procedures are enforced and the laid down accord is followed (Kraus 2003). The purpose of the research is to study and monitor the impacts and the implementation of the executed management practices to get information and evidence on the importance of these adopted management practices within the organization. The coherent theoretical framework that the research presents gives an insight on the interpretations of the emerging social constructions in the organization under the study (Ivancevich 2001). The research purpose and aim tries to characterize, relating and linking the concept of management in regard to the general performance, effectiveness and the efficiency of the organization (David Knights 2007). RESEARCH METHODOLOGY The research approach in which the report is based follows the paradigm model. This is where the research applies the theoretical concepts in the selected organizational setting where its primary aim is to elicit an insight understanding on the importance of management in an organization. From the research the report draws findings that are essential in coming to the justification that management is important to the performance and the success of the organization. The examination analysis is on the health care organization and the output of the underlying research comprises of organizational feasibility, systematically desirable and the organizational support management. The conducted research consists of a single organization in the health care sector in which a longitudinal case study approach is used. Various multiple informants gave crucial information more specifically on the importance of management in their organization in which all showed a positive expression in the support and the motivation on the importance of an effective management in their organization (Rainey 2009). The organizational setting engagement covered a wide area in the context of the organization, more specifically is to determine the organizational management design and delivery whether it is deem critical for the sustainable development in general (Walburg 2006). The examination of the design is to determine the management in terms of its work practices in regard to the business processes and its operations; technological proposition in which the organizational had adopted was determined and examined if there is an appropriate management practice that ensures effective functioning of these technologies. Finally is that the contribution and the impacts of the various management practices within the organizational setting were analyzed to justify if its importance is in the organization (Agarwal 2003). The information and evidence used in the report was collected through interviews, minutes on meetings of solving existing and the emerging managerial issues, observation on the organizational management operations and brainstorming. In summary, the examination involved the study of the management evolution within the organization and the positive impacts on the effectiveness and the performance of the organization (Shi 2007). Case Study Setting The report on the importance of management in an organization has been drawn from the case study setting of medium size health care provider organization. The company was selected because of it size, customer base and the corporate environment in which it is operating which is depicted to be very competitive. The organization is a health care and a medical services provider mainly the hospital insurance, out patient services and other medical services. The organization offers employment to over 40000 individuals and having a network of branches all over the country hence the concept of management is easily noted where weak or needs attention its impact can be easily noted also (Kraus 2003). RESULTS All the organizational units comprising of various departments were studied more important are those sectors which are considered to be the pillars of the organization. Health care management in the current corporate world has become a complex dynamic and ever evolving field creating a wide employment opportunities as the industry is growing each an everyday. This is attributed by its diversity and the changing discoveries and schemes that aim at improving the health standards of the relevant communities (David Knights 2007). The concept of management which has been ascribed in this industry is responsible for the determination of new ways in which health care and medical services can be provided. Because of a capable and management team the organization has been able to sustain its operations despite the financial crisis. The notable departments include the department of finance, human resource department and the marketing department where there is a notably positive impact on the effectiveness, efficiency and the overall performance of the organization. As stated earlier the success of an organization does not depend entirely on the traditional factors of production which is labor, land, capital and technology there must be incorporation of the management which has become an important phenomenon in the current corporate environment (Ivancevich 2001). The management team of the company introduced the concept of digital strategy which was entirely a management decision in response to the advent of the new technologies as well as the need to sustain its competitiveness in the medical service and healthcare sector. The introduction and the implementation of this management decision has seen it get incorporated in the major departments in the organization notably on the various groups within the above named departments which include the mobile phone banking services, electronic commerce, sales and marketing, ATM operations and the call center services (Agarwal 2003). The introduction of this concept and the need for the maintenance and the sustainability for the continuous functioning of this concept the organization needed an appropriate and suitable management team. The management team formulated strategies and policies that ensured the sustainability of the digital concept and this is achieved by hiring qualified professionals to undertake the responsibility. The introduction of the efficient and effective management strategies in the E-banking operations and the call centre operations improved the communication and the accessibility to the organization as well as the products and services offered by the organization reaching out a larger customer base as well as the target audience (Kraus 2003). The Perception of the Stakeholders The perception of the major stakeholders on the move by the organization introduction of the new management practices and structure notably the electronic commerce in the payment of the medical services such insurance covers and other relevant services has been regarded as an imperative move in the business world. The change in the organizational corporate environment attributed by the change and of the value prepositions for the better performance of the organization (Zink 2008). This provides an insight and a highlight of the importance of management in the establishment of an effective organization in the context of its operations and the establishment of the new organizational forms. Organizational management is important in bringing out the desirable effect on the various departments in the organization in which they contribute to the strategic reconfiguration of the organization. Various stakeholders raised concern on the need for the individual as well as the organizational management as well as the well coordinated management of activities thus incorporating a suitable management culture that gives room for the strategic formulations. All the identified stakeholders considered knowledge as an important resource to the organization that ensures the sustainable competiveness and performance. The expectation of these stakeholders is that the best principles of management are adopted in all the aspects of the organization incorporating them together in this case on the services and the product the organization is offering (Ivancevich 2001). The traditional management practices are also viewed as of great significance as it contributes greatly to the modern management principles attributed by the cumulative experiences that are acquired by the senior employees and the daily interactions with the normal business operations. The management principles should be exploited by those organizations which have not fully adopted the modern approaches of the management which need to transform its corporate structure as well as the goods and services they are offering (Kraus 2003). DISCUSSION OF THE RESULTS From the obtained results there are key identified importance of management in an healthcare organization equivalent to any other organization all these is in the context of adopting best management practices and principles. The importance of management in an organization is attributed to the effective capturing of the customer taste and preference addressing all the responses and through an effective management a suitable solution is reached which is commonly referred to as the strategic management learning implications. Another importance is the research and design management which is crucial in facilitating the design and the development of new products which is the management of the capability learning implications thus improving the availability of the variety of goods and services offered by the organization thus meeting the customer satisfaction attaining loyalty. Management in an organization enhances the improvement of the existing business in which all the systems which is crucial to the business operation is upgraded and this kind of organizational management is the routine learning management implication. Better management of the organization enhances the understanding of the customers and the stakeholders the operations of the organization and this minimizes the chance of emergence of conflict in the organization, this ensures that the organization is always at stability all the time. It is also notable that the strategically management of an organization affects directly the expansion and the advancement of the organization in its market share as well as its products and services (Doppelt 2010). Appropriate inputs as the factors of production deployed for a relevant organizational operation should be facilitated by the effective management process of the organization, from the inquiry in this report in the context of the case setting the capability of the organizational management contribute greatly to the effective and efficient utilization of the underlying factors of production. Management acts as a support to the organization in its various aspects of management depending on the relevant department of the organization. The importance of the management as a resource as well as an asset in an organization can be categorized into the management of the customer as well as the other stakeholder of the organization and the management of the organization itself. The two provided categories of the management in an organization have a close interrelation between them on the basis of the principles it ascribes. The organizational support provided by the two categories of management through the organizational and technological relation between the departments both of the two categories normally and usually goes hand in hand together. The organization ensures both of the two categories of management are converged together and incorporated into the organizational routine and its operations. The management support on the organization ensures that all the stakeholders and the employees of the organization are all incorporated into the accepted code of management and work practices within the organization (Doppelt 2010). The interpretation of the results as provided by the case study setting is evolving parallel to the actual management of an organization because of the many stakeholders in which they are involved in the management of the various departments of the organization. The organizational structure, size and its nature and the scope of its operations provide a useful foundation and the indication on the appropriate approach of management that an organization will adopt. The management approach adopted should be able to adopt the requirements, goals and the objectives of the organization and this further enhances the importance of the management to the organization linking it with the achievement of the organizational set targets, goals and objectives (Zink 2008). It is evident that has been proved that most organizations fail to achieve its goals and objectives due to the poor management practices, therefore this report provides ways and strategies that organizations can make maximum utilization of resources by effectively managing them by adopting effective managerial practices within the organization. The concept of management is of great importance in the effective utilization of the ICT infrastructure and the development of organizational capabilities, all this are attributed to the effectiveness of the organizational management (Wheeler 2001) CONCLUSIONS With the distinction and the identification of the two categories of management and the implementation and the execution, the organizations are able to converge and relate the two inducing them with the relevant organizational production input resources and technology in order to achieve the organizational goals and objectives. The corporate environment of any organization is identified with the management strategies and capabilities and the way managerial issues are handled therefore management is important in an organization as it portrays the image of the organization. There are many reasons which justify the importance of management in an organization notably is that it helps the organization to focus on the achievement of organizational goals (Doppelt 2010). This implies that factors of production helps in achieving organization goals in that it assembles and organizes the resources in a useful and effective manner to achieve organizational goals. Proper management in an organization delegates proper running of labor, machines and money, when all these and the resources are well taken of we find that the organization becomes a useful enterprise. Proper management in an organization enhances optimum utilization of resources in such a way that there is productive utilization of physical and human resources and this leads to efficacy in management. When there is proper management we find that there is proper utilization of scarce resources by selecting its possible and alternative use in the industry from out of various uses. By so doing there is good use of experts and professional and these services leads to the use their skills and knowledge hence there is proper utilization to avoid wastage because when labor and machines are producing at their maximum level then automatically there will be no underemployment of any resources (Doppelt 2010). Management also reduces costs by maximizing results through minimum input by use of proper planning and also using minimum input to get maximum output hence helping in cost reduction. Management establishes sound organization in the sense that there is no overlapping of efforts, and for this happen organizational structure plays an important role by establishing effective authority and responsibility relationship i.e. coming up subordinates to deliver services like giving out instructions, supervision and they should be accountable for everything in the organization. All jobs should be cleared to every one in the organization by having the right persons with right skills, training and qualifications. Through proper management there is establishment of equilibrium which enables it to to survive within the changing environment by being in touch with it by changing the initial co-ordination to adapt organization to the changing demand market to meet the changing needs of the society hence gaining responsibility for the growth and survival of the organization. Also through proper management in the organization it attributes to essentials for prosperity in the society by leading to better economical production which helps to increase the welfare of the people. This enhance the standard of living by increasing the profit which is beneficial to business and society by maximizing output at minimum cost hence creating employment opportunities which generate income in hand. Good management also makes difficult tasks to be easier through avoidance of scarce resources hence making the organization to come up with new products which are research beneficial to the society (David Knights 2007). Despite the research efforts made up to now, management remains to being an important concept in the day to day organizational operations petting into regard the importance of the organizational visions and mission. There it remains to be a fact that management in an organization is important putting into account the importance of the need for competitive advantage and organizational sustainability.
