? Health care transitions and management Health care transitions and management Several reports converged in the resent past indicates a deterioration in the healthcare systems especially in the United States while very little effort is being applied to improve the recommendable strategies that were meant to alleviate the citizens from such kind of a problem. If appropriate action is taken in time that employs infrastructure such as the latest technology capable of improving efficiency and harmonizing the cost, then life expectancy will still be at stake. Despite the promises made by the United States government leaders about the action of improving healthcare facility, possible sources still disclose the United States as a country where people live a shorter life span than the nations around the world. This has been attributed by the increase in the number of generic drugs that cost far much less than the original drugs. Besides, the diagnostic costs through insurance schemes have proven to be more expensive in contrary to paying directly from the pocket (Hicks &Jacobs, 2014). Despite the presence of an oversight physicians as one of the healthcare regulatory authority in the United States healthcare management, it has been noted with great concern that not much is being done in trying to regulate or control the influx and dispensation of drugs to the citizens. The state government should implement regulations to eliminate license on physicians perceived to be indulged in the production of generic drugs. Besides, there are no prescribed policies governing the conduct of pharmaceutical malpractices and this has given room for best sales of generic drugs than branded drugs. Moreover, there are no enforceable contracts that give clarifications on the best possible measure necessary in curbing medical practices reforms (Hicks &Jacobs, 2014). The United States government especially the congress has not provided adequate immunity to the licensing of corporate and the medical practitioners so as to ensure fair competitiveness between the branded and generic drugs (Hicks &Jacobs, 2014). From the facts founded by pharmaceutical industry transition clip, the revenue is set to decrease permanently by almost 60 billion and this may recede into a permanent problem because it is characterized by abundant existence of generic drugs as compared to the branded counterparts. From the research, possible sources are also pointing a shaft decrease in supply of FDA drugs through a consistent variation as from the year 1996 to 2010. Another observation made indicates that in every five drugs, only one would be found to be branded. This is because generic drugs are known to sell at cheaper price whereas the possible content is almost of the same quality or it may have very little difference. There is projection that, if this trend continues for the next few years then there would be a very deep decline from branded medicine to the stakeholders’ payers’ model (Prelovs?ek & Hajna, 2011). Due to the presence and the pricing cost of generic drugs, pharmaceutical industries would be far much affected in terms of future revenues leading to a decline in job markets and sales. Moreover, some pharmaceutical companies that are engaged in sale of branded medicines would find it very difficult to generate enough returns while sale representative would shift opportunities to dealing in generic drugs that would otherwise generate quick returns (Prelovs?ek & Hajna, 2011). Comparing the pricing of drugs in United States and Canada According to the U.S health care reforms report of 2012, it has been realized that the United State of charges very high prices on prescription drugs as compared to any other developed state in the world. Even though the manufacturing cost of medicines seems to be low in The United States, the escalating cost in pricing are attributed during the development process. Most of the pharmaceutical companies see this rising cost in pricing to have been characterized by a lot of money being spent in paying for the research charges to come up with the right medicine in terms of quality. According to the research carried out by food and drug administration, for every 6 or 7 drugs samples of The United States generic drugs sell at a cheaper price as compared to a branded medicine in Canada. Possible findings of the generic drugs also pointed out that, generic drugs that come from the United States are also affordable as compared to the ones produced locally in Canada (Schweitzer, 2007). A closer look to The United States pharmacies indicates that generic drugs has substantially eroded the market for branded medicine as compared to the pricing of branded drugs in Canada, Mexico and the other closer countries. The purported erosion has been accelerated by competing that is exhibited amongst the generic trends. However, a closer look indicates that not many people are exposed to liable drugs as compared to the united state this causes the pricing of drugs to be slightly affordable. Despite all the above differences and variations, pertinent results have showed some similarities. For instance, both generic and branded drugs are found available in the United States and the Canada. Besides, there are no specific regulations to regulate pricing invasion that are associated with the presence of generic drugs (Schweitzer, 2007). Drugs in Canada sell at an affordable price as compared to the ones manufactured in the United States. This has been enhanced by the fact that the government of Canada has implemented policies that ensures all the companies engaged in the distribution or supply of drugs, sell at a subsidized cost. the pricing of drugs are controlled by a specific body, it means that no one sell at any price different form the one set by the board which, is contrary to the U.S where only variation between generic and branded is considered. Besides, Canada has set up policy by initiating drug stores at every province as a way of minimizing and maintaining consistency in supply through the whole seasons, this is something that the United States government does not practice leading to the escalation in pricing especially for the branded drugs (Schweitzer, 2007). Career trends in healthcare and related studies With current rate of life expectancy where there is an increment in the number of persons growing older in age, more of the American citizen would require medical facility provision and this has created room for different types of jobs other than doctors and nurses. Some of the carrier trends in healthcare include medical managers, medical assistants, radiation therapies and home care aids (NRC,1998). Medical assistant This is an administrator who works at the physicians, clinician or any other medical departmental offices. His mandate is to keep track of medical records of the previous and current patients. The position of medical assistant may not look much in small clinics. However, he is considered to have the capacity of working in bigger medical institutions and can collaborate with the appropriate team members in tackling of a research in order to produce a conclusive result (NRC, 1998). Radiologist Radiologist is medical personnel who use the radiology or x-ray machines to examine the effect of cancer disease in a patient. They may be termed as x-ray therapist in some situation because the kind of job they are engaged in. moreover, they are not doctors and are only expected to do the medical examination after which, the results are forwarded to the doctor concerned for an appropriate prescription. They undergo an intensive training in technology and body imaging that mainly specializes by examining the interior structures of a patient body. Radiologists are classified in the same group with laboratory technicians and their job is scares that mean it cannot survive during hard economic times (NRC, 1998). Domestic healthcare workers When people grow old, their capability of taking themselves also deteriorates. Therefore, it would be necessary to provide them with meaningful healthcare either at special nursing centers or at their places of residence. A worker who is in charge of such kind of a person is termed as domestic healthcare worker. This is one of the jibs that is not recognized much within the healthcare fraternity but it is an essential element to the society since the elderly cannot survive without their presence. The personnel in this field do not undergo much training and therefore, only classified as domestic healthcare giver. The demands for this job are actually very low because it takes quite sometimes for somebody to grow old. Moreover, one care giver can be in charge of more than one person as long as their status can be ascertained (Lautenbach, 2010). Despite the availability of these different healthcare trends, much identification is pointing at healthcare managers as the most the purposed rewarding career during all the economic situations. Beside, healthcare management is falling amongst the fastest growing career through the whole world. This is because the management segment can fit in all areas of medicine. Moreover, it comes up with attractive payment package due to the increase in demand can be perused to the highest level of management as a medical directory manager (Lautenbach, 2010). Medical management is known to allow for dynamic experience, this is because the field of medicine is often associated with varied medical complications which, offers a person the best medical experience in this field. Ultimately, through this career one has got numerous choices of job placement and availability that ranges from small clinics to very bigger hospital which is a clear indication of economic sustainability and profession can be best described as a strategy of alleviant to poor medical economic condition of the society (Lautenbach, 2010). Pressure placed doctors indicates a decline interest in this profession Just like in any other professional organization, being a doctor is associated with a number of challenges. Some of these challenges can be made visible from the point of recruitment to distribution of resources and relationship with the patients. In the recent past, a rapid decline in the number of students who actual prefer doing section of medicine or medicinal related career has been reported but in most occasion a sharp decline in medical practitioners has been caused mainly by the pressure from the employing body or from the challenges faced in line of duty (Sheldon, 2002). Some of the pressure has been caused by political autonomy for instance most of the government doctors ate never happy about their current salaries as compared to the ones from the private sectors that are always higher. This essence of variation in remuneration cost makes some doctors to feel that they are getting exploited despite the fact that they are may be working from the same level. Some of the doctors have since fallen out of these due political interests. Ultimately, practitioners may decide to fall out from medicine career because of political economy .due to the fact that they are not allowed decide on the amount of salaries they are suppose to be earning. For such reasons, a government therefore, dictates of salaries despite heavy duties performed by the doctors in line with this profession (Sheldon, 2002). The role of healthcare policies, This constitutes the decision making plan in which, appropriate plans and strategies are undertaken in ensuring that the right medical practices are have been carried. These policies help medical practices remains ethical in protecting the lives of the sick individuals. Moreover, policies are necessary to ensure suitable standards of the medical practitioners for an operation. These policies are considered very vital in ensuring that, those who are injured, ill or associated with some sort of disorders are taken care of. Healthcare policies have been known to help in areas such as the ones concerned with the availability of medical equipment. This is very necessary because it helps in the quality services to both medical personnel and the patients. Besides, healthcare policies help in enhancing infrastructural development and foreign understanding when it comes to the relationship between two different independent republics. For such reasons, it becomes possible and easier to the integration of accessibility during the times of need. In contrast to the recent past where healthcare facilities were basically being supplied for free to the institutions so as to enhance Medicare to the patients in areas of medical need. Moreover, it also helps to the realization of drugs budget and development. Significant development in the healthcare industry To the US citizens healthcare is classified as vital component to the society with good revenue returns annually both from the employers and the other healthcare service departments. In contrary to developing countries, Healthcare facilitation in the United States is far much developed in terms of research and technology but a lot of criticism is experienced when it comes to the issue of pharmaceutical and drugs supply. A lot of consideration had been placed on branded drugs , have been found to sell at higher cost as compared to the other developed countries. However, with the introduction of generic drugs that are used as an alternative medicine, a lot of achievement has made where people can simply by prescribed generic drugs from the pharmacist as compared to expensive branded drugs (Patel, & Rushefsky, 2006). The United States government has also been found to offer a lot healthcare job opportunities that varies from domestic healthcare workers to medical managers who are perceived to be better placed during all times of economic variations. Medical managers have been found to have dynamic opportunities with a lot of exposure to experience. Another recommendable achievement mad by the United States is the use of medical insurance scheme that put all the citizens in a better position in times of healthcare needs. This is considered as an achievement because t helps sustainable health service provisions to all members of the society (Patel, & Rushefsky, 2006). Reference: Hicks, L &Jacobs, P. (2014).
