Human Resource Planning Human Resource Planning In reference to Human Resource Management book by Bohlander and Snell 15th edition, it is evident that the authors subject their topic on Human Resource Planning. This mainly targets the requirements that facilitate integrated plans within a firm. There is also an emphasis on global and domestic competition, which has made HRP virtually mandatory. The news on the article report that gaps in employees’ affairs are as a result of neglect on the part of the Human Resource Planning.

The heading in the article addresses insurance companies; they make use of complex language and terms when expounding on health plan benefits. As a result, they end up being unfaithful to their terms, thus adding a burden to the Human Resource Department. Therefore, Human Resource Departments should be particularly cautious in protecting their employees. Other media companies such as New York Times back the statement that, insurance companies use confusing and technical terms in establishing contracts with the Human Resource Departments.

The Human Resource Management and Services, treasury, and labor departments lead in these grievances. This is because insurance companies fail in their responsibility thus calling for concern throughout a company. The article also discusses issues regarding exploitation of employees by employers. In most organizations, the management forces the employees to work extra hours to meet the prevailing demand, but in hand get nothing. There is an emphasis on the standard basis of accounting in relation to extra time, and other over-time allowances.

There is also a section that explains laws governing human resources. This is because statistics shows that employees are quite ignorant. They do not have the courage to face challenges at workplace. From the article, it is evident that Human Resource Planning is increasing its value daily. Awareness should be created to educate employees on their rights. A notification is crucial as it will help in guiding employees in different fields such as insurance, among others. This is because planning is a key determiner of growth and development in an organization.

It is easy to distiguish the aspects of HRP; it enhances the importance of planning in Human Resource Management. References BLR—Business and Legal Resources, 2012. HR and Employment Law News. Retrieved on 7th February, 2012. < http://hr.blr.com/HR-news/>
