Possible employers prefer interns who have not yet graduated for the purpose is maintence of contact with students. Internship enables students to make clear and defined choices on their career choice. My long-term goal is to attain a bachelor’s degree and upon graduating, find an employment prospect as an accountant in a recognized firm. While still in employment I will enroll in a Masters program in Accounting. After achieving my masters, I will do an additional course in the auditing of computer software and information systems.

If all goes well, I will attain the highest goals in Accounting. Summary and interpretation of my feedback My strengths is in openness to experience, though I have an average rating, I am open to new ideas and the present status quo is not my comfort zone. I am well educated and this enables me to look for new opportunities and new ideas. My weakness is in my assertiveness as it is a setback to my openness to experience. My average score on agreeableness is my strength as people regard me as uncompromising, tough and critical.

Neuroticism is my strength, though I tend to avoid stressful situations, I overcome them in one way or the other. My weakness however is my vulnerability to new experience and this may lead me to making poor judgments. Being an introvert can be my strength as I tend to be attentive to detail in everything that I do and give all my concentration to the task being performed. My low score on extraversion is my weakness as I am not energetic enough in performing excitement-seeking activities. I tend to score highly on the vulnerability trait, immoderation, self –consciousness, neurotism, anxiety and liberalism.

I score low achievement-striving, self-efficacy, conscientiousness, altruism, dutifulness, emotionality and extraversion. I don’t feel comfortable working in a job that involves a lot of pressure and stress due to my reactions to emotions. Due to my introvert nature, I tend to prefer working as part of the team. I am curious to learn new things and my openness to learn new things hence I don’t prefer things as they are. I have a problem in following rules and instructions due to my low score on conscientiousness.

Though I would rather delegate difficult tasks, I still have the diligent trait in me which allows me to finish the task. I lack the qualities of a leader due to my conservatism nature which makes me to have difficulty in directing others. My conscientiousness nature is my main weakness in my career in accounting. Accounting requires organization and leaves no room for errors thus careless in my work may lead to serious financial errors. I am not self –disciplined, an essential requirement in accounting.

Though I fair poor on self-discipline, I have my strengths in neuroticism a trait which makes me to cope with my weaknesses. Accounting requires persons who are assertive in achieving goals and performing complex tasks. My low score on agreeableness indirectly is my strength as accounting requires persons who are uncompromising, critical and tough. These are positive traits for aspiring accountants.
