Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."In Marketing Management, these verses from the Holy Scripture serve as a well crafted Marketing Plan that a business should follow in traversing the very precarious market. The verses are applicable to a start up business where it is not certain whether the business will succeed or fail. It is quite scary because significant resources and effort has been invested in the business and runs the risk of losing everything if the business will fail.

The verses however calms the business owner not to be terrified and discouraged but rather just focus on executing the Plan as He commanded and surely he will succeed. The verses encourage and reassure the business owner not to be worried. Just like the Holy Scriptures, the Marketing Plan is well thought of and ordained to succeed with all the possible risks and threats considered. It is also a management guide for the business to take heed for it also contains the command on how to manage such plan for its greater efficacy and success.

It has to be remembered that the verse was for Joshua as he prepares for battle in Canaan with a much superior force, yet they won because he went according to Plan. In the same manner that the new business is going to war in a market with much more superior competitors and just like Joshua, the business will succeed if the business will go as planned.
