In addition, problem solving and acquisition of leadership skills enables one to be professionally competent. Considerably, the use of numbers appropriately through collection and recording of data besides focusing on data representation in information technology enhances individual professional competence. Communication Communication remains one of the vital elements to every professional in conducting his daily activities. Communication needs to be very effective in businesses in order to create a mutual exchange of understanding between the conveyer of the information and the readers. Business communication ensures that there is constant flow of information. More than often, communication plays an important role in giving information to the interested parties of an organisation including employees and shareholders notwithstanding the general public. In the presentation on Harrods holdings, effective communication was made to various parties. This comprised of the customers who were served in Harrod holdings and investors who were the key shareholders in the company. Improving own learning performance More than often, individuals set out standards that are geared on improving the learning performance. Later on, we focused on process skill advanced to learning of new techniques and reviewing our own skills of analysing companies. This ensured that we could accept constructive feedback and come up with new learning opportunities. More so, we work as a focused team, as we worked towards our set targets of giving an accurate report on the company. In the end, we were able to improve our quality of both learning and performance levels. Problem Solving More than often, problem solving plays an imperative role as it impacts a unique skill in the management of business. The whole concept of problem-solving often involves important skills that individuals in management and leadership use in decision-making. While the aspect of decision-making could be found to be more natural in specific personalities, others have to build over time the skill of making successful decision. Therefore, the in order to achieve success we need to focus more on making viable decisions while improving the quality of decisions they make on behalf of the shareholders. Leadership More than often, it has been indentified that personal competence arises from gaining leadership skills (Lussier, 2010). More so, good leaders remain, as the key enabling force especially in the accomplishment of tasks that are set to achieve goals. Application on numbers based on the collection and recording data In most cases the collection and presentation of data remains vital in carrying out reports on market analysis. More so, it is important to identify trends and patterns that are evident in the companies market domain especially based on the different variables that affect the market position. As a group, we came up together to give a comprehensive report based on Harrod Holdings sales production in the year 2008 and 2009. As a result, we collected the sales production made by Selfridges company in order to give a complete industry analysis. While making the report, there was a consistent flow of data analysis as we had collected adequate data that were clearly recorded in the companies financial statement. After coming up with, the analysis we acknowledged that we had found competence in the collection of explicit good data sets based on financial statements of companies.
