Primary Health Care Clinics Primary health care is very necessary part of services a society musthave. I am manager of your chain of primary health care clinics. There are many primary health clinics in private sector available throughout the country. Our chain consists of two clinics one of them contains services like diagnostic and other patient services that are available for the people of community we are serving. Other one is a small clinic operating in the country side of the community. Since I am handling the managing affairs of the chain; I have observed that our staffs of 69 employees are well dedicated to the mission statement of the Chain of clinics. Our major clinical disciplines are 9 different specialties. Referral to specialist doctors regarding all major fields are done effectively depending on condition of patients. The mission statement I want to have for our clinics is; “Quality Health care for all, affordable and Satisfaction Guaranteed”. Why I have chosen this statement as a mission for our clinics? Well answer is simple we provide up to date quality of care to our patients at clinic. Also our contract services including 24- hour care at door step and appointment with expert specialists and surgeons is very cheap and is satisfying off course for our customers and patients. Our contract services like taking care of a patient at home and making arranging of appointment of patients with different expert specialists are of greater importance. It is evolving a good image on the local community. By primary care clinics we mean practitioners such as nursed providing first aid and cure of common illness like cold, fever and common allergy problems. Female nurses are of greater important in this regard as two of our owners are also registered female nurses. Female nurses play an important role in community such as promoting awareness about health issues among female members of the community (Law and Scott, 2008). Also female members of local community trust more on the nurses’ that belong to their own community regarding different problems. There are many services provided by our clinic to the local communities surrounding our both clinics like birth control pills and other medicines and initial services that are available. As a primary clinic we also need Legal health partners aiding us in providing our services effectively. Legal health partners as we know provide legal service legal-health problems related to our patients as well as dealing with different legal issues patients might face during treatment. Also there is need of a strong partnership between our clinics and local hospitals and community for effectiveness of our services to low income patients and to our clinics also. Partnership with hospitals and community is a huge success for the clinics that are present in state of New York (Galowitz and Wolf). When we are partners with legal health care of local communities surrounding our clinics our field work will expand to a greater extent, like we can hold a seminar addressing different health issues, also Legal health partners can teach our medical staff some professional stuff regarding health issues. With situations like bad economy, loss of jobs and health insurance many people are focusing on free clinics present in the community they live for solution of their health problems. Now all over the country private primary health care clinics are held outside the main health system followed by Government and officials. But due to extreme shortage of primary care doctors has empowered the clinics like us all over the country especially people with a low-income tend to contact clinics like us all over the country. According to a survey there will be a shortage of 45,000 primary health care doctors in coming decade. All these conditions will add to importance of primary health clinics like us. The biggest advantage we are having is the presence of nurse practitioners as our main stake staff also nurses are one of the owners of our clinics, so they know about the advantages and disadvantages of having nurse practitioners as main staff. Nurse practitioners have a very low pay as compared to an expert primary care doctor. Also the influence in community of nurse practitioners is much greater than much of the doctors’ available (Gordon, 2012). The Rural Health Services Act of 1977 is an important legal aid available to us for flourishing in health services. To provide primary health care services to millions of people that are living in rural areas, government supported primary health care clinics like us aiding legal aspect of health care available at the rural area clinics. This rural health care clinic program is an important factor when talking about quality of health care available at rural areas. We should follow as a private retail clinic the attributes given to the private clinics by American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP). It also acts as performance measurement tool for me to analyze performance of the clinics. As long as all the attributes explained in AAFP are checked in my check notes the overall report for clinics is satisfactory for me (Jacobson, 2013). I would also like to conduct local community surveys to evaluate social response our clinics are getting from the community. This survey will have a two-fold purpose enclosed in it. One is the analysis of the impacts our clinics have on the local community and responses they are having from general people; and the other is to have advertising campaign that is hidden in these surveys giving information to the people regarding services provided by our clinics to the community. Third performance parameter is the evaluation of our clinics by expert or specialist doctors we refer our patients. The opinions of specialists in different fields about our clinics will help us optimizing our services as well as it will provide a positive feedback to our staff. We have two nurse practitioners in governing body of our clinics. All other nurse practitioners should be taken under the eye of these two practitioners. This will aid in providing better performances regarding our services to the local community. Expansion of clinic should be done under extreme care without compromising our quality of services. Stronger the image of our clinics as quality place for primary health care, stronger will be chance of expansion. Staff should also be hired according to parameters set by AAFP and local authorities. Partnership with big hospitals of district and legal health partner will also give strength to the chances of expansion for our clinics. Commitment of staff to the mission of our clinic is also an important factor played in the expansion of clinics. Greater the staff is committed to the mission statement for our clinics greater will be the positive response from community and experts that are related to us regarding clinical services. There should be expansion of services also as we are offering specialties only in nine departments. It should be increased gradually to almost 12 specialized fields regarding services available at clinic. It can be done again by commitment of staff, filling of all the attributes related to our services and clinics by local and national authorities, promoting a strong positive image of our clinics in community and strong partnerships between us and the big hospitals of the area and legal health partners existing. As a private primary health care clinic we should also try to focus providing our services to the people who have low-income. It will provide us two advantages. Positive image of our clinics will propagate more vastly and quickly in local community. Also organizations like AAFP setting quality parameters for the clinics will have lenient attitude for our clinic in many regards (AAPA, 2009).
