Personal Mission ment “I will strive to be the best person I can be. I will be brutally honest and deeply loyal. I will never ignore life’s beauty, and I will always attempt to defend those who cannot defend themselves. I will love all that form an integral part of my life, and respect all, even my enemies.”Goals:I want to be successful, but not in monetary terms. I do not care which career the future holds for me, as long as I do the job for the sake of job, and not for the sake of the money.

I want success not for money but for the sake of success, and I will endeavour to always remember that. I want to operate in life with both courage and fear. Equality cannot exist in everything; it’ll create chaos. Balance is important and I believe in order for me to be courageous I must be afraid as well. I want to always be able to appreciate the beautiful things in life, no matter what hardship I am facing. I will keep my eyes open to the beauty that resides in struggle, or else I will lose myself in this competitive capitalist world.

This would mean appreciating and honouring honesty, loyalty, upholding family values, and taking one second of the day to stop and be thankful for the people in my life. I will be centered on family but I will not define myself through my family (Covey, 1989). I will define my worth through my ideologies, not the members of my family. I will make every effort to be principle centered, so that it is my ideologies and principles, and not my self, which will succeed or fail me.Roles:Daughter: I am and shall remain their support and will love them every day.

Sister: I will guide them and be guided by them, and I will not let pettiness come in between our love for each other. Student: I see new knowledge every day, and will always try to absorb it fully.Human: I respect everyone with the same amount I expect for myself, and I love thusly as well.Process:“Essentially, the left hemisphere is the more logical/verbal one and the right hemisphere the more intuitive, creative one. Imagination and conscience are primarily functions of the right side of the brain” (Covey, 1989).

The right hemisphere of my brain is the dominant one, which has made the logical aspect of this assignment a hardship to achieve. Nevertheless, stopping all other activities to think on what my personal mission statement is has been an enlightening experience. In doing so, I have accepted and rejected many of my previous principles and incorporated new ones. I have looked better unto myself, and understood myself better. The process in itself has been a learning experience. The final product of course, will guide me in my future.
