 The organization or company has to come up with objectives with an intention of supporting the aims. The objectives of a company ensure that employees get to know how and when things are needed. Objectives ought to be specific, measurable, achievable, and relevant, and time-bound. The objectives can be changed to help overcome threats and other obstacles. The topmost objective of TNT Company focuses on gaining profitable growth. The mission statement of Coca-Cola is to inspire happiness and optimism moments and to make a difference and create value.

The aim of the company is to make the company a better working place for its employees and to be a lean, fast-moving, and highly effective company. The objective of the company is to always respond to change and act with urgency (“Delivering a business strategy”, 2014). What is meant by the business strategy? How can a strategy map help a company to deliver its strategy? Business strategy is the way in which a company achieves the stated objectives. An effective business strategy has to be planned and should relate to the environment, product, and chosen markets.

  A strategy that is considered competitive is based on; distinct market position and development of core competencies. The strategy map of TNT is customer-centered. The tool focuses on directing everybody involved; on how the company will be able to achieve the stated goals. The strategy map acts as a framework and practical guide in the achievement of the stated objectives. The strategy is also considered a reference point that connects the organization together.  The business strategy map makes everyone accountable for accomplishing their stated roles (“Delivering a business strategy”, 2014).

Analyze and explain the relationship between TNT’s overall strategy, its customer promise, and practical steps it takes to keep the customers happy. The overall strategy of the TNT Company is set out under innovation, customer relationship management, and operational Excellency. The services provided are reliable, quality and fast.  The allegiance and loyalty of the customer are built by understanding their wants through a good relationship that exists between the employees and the customers.

Customers are segmented according to requirements. The customer’s needs are responded to with intention of capturing customer loyalty. The satisfaction of the customers is measured through their loyalty. The company has come up with key promises and works towards responding to the promises in an effective manner (“Delivering a business strategy”, 2014). What is a strategic gap? Evaluate the effectiveness of the TNT in meeting any gap in the human resource required to meet its customer promise.

Strategic gaps are additional skills required by the company to boost its human resource and allow full implementation of the company’s strategies. Additional skills are achieved through employee development. TNT Company for example has focused on imparting skills to the various people working in the company. Boosting the skills of the employees ensures the customers are well attended to and service is done in a more efficient and quality manner. Training of the employees on the job, at college, and at home has played a crucial role in increasing performance due to the additional skills acquired.

The apprenticeship program at the company provides relevant qualifications and experience in vehicle maintenance for the drivers tasked with transportation of the documents. All these are aimed at meeting the customers’ needs (“Delivering a Business Strategy”, 2014).
