This paper presents an analysis of management techniques that managers use to work and control the actions of individuals under them. In this scenario, this paper assesses some of the well-known methods that are adopted by managers for the management of the business. This paper compares different management techniques, and also suggests when each technique is used.

Management Techniques

Business managers can adopt a wide variety of management techniques to take charge of their business or corporate department. In this scenario, the management method or technique used by a person can be an expression of their personal personality or it could be assumed from practices they have had as a worker. However, every precise style of company, corporate, task, or project management has its contribution of problems and attributes (Ryan, 2012).

Autocratic Management Technique

In an autocratic management technique, a leader holds limitless authority and power. Basically, an autocratic method is employed by an executive who desires to consider all the available choices and have complete management and control over his/her staff. In this scenario, such a manager likes to furnish orders quickly and have them completed speedily. In addition, the manager’s attention is to control staff in order to attain utmost competence and efficiency. However, the manager is not involved in paying attention to worker advice. Though an autocratic business management method can polish many employees in an incorrect way, however, it can be efficient in a huge business with unskilled staff, or when a company is in a disaster and decisions require to be formulated quickly (Ryan, 2012; Sanoojk, 2011).

Democratic Management Technique

In democratic management technique, a manager who makes use of a democratic management method attempts to execute a trust in his/her staff. In this technique, a manager wants his staff members to make judgments and authorize them by offering them some decision-making power. However, this management technique forces business managers to demonstrate high-quality communication abilities and listen to recommendations and ideas from their staff members. In addition, a democratic business/task/process or operation management style can result in slower decision making and have a number of issues for the reason that the staff trusted by making decisions are not all time skilled enough to perform it correctly (Ryan, 2012; Sanoojk, 2011).

Hybrid Management Technique

A business manager knows that each worker has unique qualities and different decision power. Hence, one specific business, task, or project management approach will not be useful for everybody. In this scenario, they build up a hybrid or mixed approach of all management methods that consider every staff member’s learning method and personality. This kind of management technique can be challenging when adopted by large groups of people, however through patience, will eventually obtain the majority out of each one (Ryan, 2012; Sanoojk, 2011).

Paternalistic Management Technique

There is another most important management approach that is known as the paternalistic method. Basically, it is associated with the social constitution of the company. In this scenario, the manager is concerned with how their staff members feel about work and other problems as well as will for all time recognize their visions while making decisions. In fact, the manager has no issues while making final decisions, however, will check with her/his staff frequently as well as carry his job in a way that is most excellent for everybody. A paternalistic management method can sluggish down the general decision-making process, and cannot be the most excellent method for a fast-paced environment (Ryan, 2012; Sanoojk, 2011).

Analysis
Every management style has its own advantages and disadvantages. In autocratic management style where the manager manages all be likely to produce a tradition of dependence that is desperate for business owners. However, business managers are frequently served through a more democratic method that encourages responsibility, proactively, and individual management (BusinesscaseStudies, 2012; Brewer, 2010). In this scenario, business education is can be very helpful for facilitating business owners in creating and maintaining their management styles. However, every business manager has a distinctive personality and method of establishing connections with other people. Hence, there is not essentially a correct or incorrect method to direct and control people as long as it works successfully for a company. Therefore, a technique that can work for one cannot work for the other. So, business management should be careful when making use of any management techniques (Brewer, 2010).

Conclusion

We have a wide variety of management styles that can be adopted by the managers. Basically, the management allows the business managers to lead, control, monitor, systematize and plan business processes and other related tasks. So every business management style is aimed at implementing all these processes however their way of implementation can be different. This paper has discussed different management styles. Every management style has its own advantages and disadvantages. Thus, it depends on knowledge of the management what management style they adopt according to their business environment.
