Organizational Culture Organizational Culture The fact that Outward Hound Company is a vacation planning organization, it thereforemeans that the company would need competency, control and efficiency especially in decision-making. Most of these aspects are achievable through theories such as the Schneider culture model and the Denison model organizational culture. Application of the two cultures would enable the company achieve aspects such as control, cultivation, competence and collaboration.

Given that the company is having an AGM, application of these theories is necessary. In this case, the Schneider culture model would help the organization with at least four distinct cultures that include;Collaboration thus working together, Control culture Competence CultivationIn this case, control culture mostly focuses on getting and keeping control whereas competence culture focuses on being the best. The cultivation culture in this case entails growing and learning with an organizational sense of purpose.

By applying the Schneider’s model of organizational culture, it means that the model would define organizational culture to the larger AGM members (Ashkanasy, Wilderom, & Peterson, 2011). Here, the model would the organization in terms of employee cultural preferences and organizational culture. Denison Model of Organizational Culture In organizational management, the Denison Model tends to provide a comprehensive and an easy guidance especially for organizational change. In most cases, it happens through two frameworks thus the leadership development model and the organizational culture model.

Both models tend to describe organizational leadership and high-performance business culture (Ashkanasy, Wilderom, & Peterson, 2011). The model focuses on at least six tangible performance touchstones that include profitability, sales growth, innovation, quality, employee satisfaction and market share. In reference to Outward Hound Company, which seeks to host its first ever AGM, the Denison organizational cultural model would be applicable. In this case, the model would enable the Outward Hound Company leaders and its stakeholders to understand their organizational culture.

On the other hand, the model would provide the company’s management with a benchmark of organizational culture. The Denison organization cultural model also helps the AGM members determine organizational development. Lastly, it helps the members implement suggested actions for palpable performance improvement. Strength and Drawbacks of Applicable Theory In organizational management, applicable theory entails the process in which the organization draws its conclusions including facts, theories and ideas in general using organizational sources.

This approach remains important for the Outward Hound Company since it allows the organization to make conclusions and draw its benchmark. On the other hand, applicable theory fails to give room for organizational members to make extended ideas. Importance of Aligning Strategy and Culture Together in Ensuring Operational Success Strategic alignment entails the process of bringing organizational staff members and divisions actions into line with organization’s goals and planned objectives. It also entails the process and the effects of linking organizational resources and structure with its business environment and strategy.

In other words, aligning strategy entails the ability of organizational business to attain their strategic goals (Ashkanasy, Wilderom, & Peterson, 2011). In most cases, the goals are benefited from conducting comprehensive strategic alignment. Strategic alignment would be significant for the Outward Hound Company. In this case, strategic alignment would enable high organizational performance by optimizing people’s and inputs contributions to the attainment of the company’s objectives. In fact, aligning strategy would help the Outward Hound Company minimize waste and resources (Ashkanasy, Wilderom, & Peterson, 2011).

In reference to Outward Hound situation, strategic alignment would help in coordinating and integrating the company’s activities especially in functional business areas in order to attain long-term company objectives.
