APPLICATION FOR A JOB AS AN ADVERTISER I am John Boll and aged 22. I study a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications at Harvard University, now in my fourth year and in the second semester. My passion for communication studies stem back from my childhood when I used to admire the open shows which were often hosted by outstanding presenters like Oprah. She is such a witted lady and presents all her expressions in a well articulated manner. She hosts one of the most stunning global shows. Much of my inspirations have been the results of her show because it is one that is yielding; you can actually see the satisfaction from her audience. In simple terms, I just have a great passion to be an advertisement officer and nothing but nothing shall stop from grasping my long awaited lifelong dream. Why do I qualify for Advertisement? My passion for advertisement was not just founded on a self –proclaimed title bearing. Rest assured I have worked hard to earn such a reputable passion. For one, the person in me clearly shows how this has been made possible. Just in brief let me elaborate this. Most of all my academic credentials are an elaboration to claim my remarks. Just as clarified in my credentials, I have demonstrated to be in a deep touch with both oral and written language. Next, after an internal internship with my learning institution, I am convinced that I have accumulated adequate communication skills. This comes after I was awarded on merit for exemplary performance, by the information and communications technology department. Much to effect my career, I have mastered an open minded approach to tackling everyday issues, this has not only drawn creativity in me distinctively but has also equipped me with the ability of innovation. Given the nature of activities the profession entails, I am compelled to extend my capacity to flexibility. I can’t deny that I am often challenged with extreme working conditions. However, I have most often than not demonstrated good coping skills; so that I guarantee success in that which is expected of me. In any case, everyone needs orientation in any field. Personally, I don’t believe in empty directions but rather issue-based resolutions; I am a man of action. To a minor extent, I have often compromised my interpersonal skills. For instance, when I strongly believe on my stand I am always driven into making it more stern thereby portraying rigidity. However much I may be right, this should never be part of professionalism. Fortunately, I am hopeful that after a series of intensive seminars and exposure to the job market, I will undoubtedly be in a position of utmost professionalism. You will find all that you need in my person as far as the job requirements are concerned. I believe that with academic competence in my studies, I will be able to stand such a chance. Moreover, this will give a backing to the practical inception the career demands. In any case, for a satisfactory performance in life-long activities the career will continually address daily life experiences, and this as a matter of fact heeds precision. Once more, our institution should embrace communal-base learning as this will literally keep the economy going and also portray well our public image on the global scene. In my goal to encourage learning, I believe the institution should be in a better position to understand how this will not only aid students in doing the course work as just a process but also will shed light on the inevitable significance such ideas will bear. Our nation is known for quality attributes, especially in the field of technology. Unfortunately, this has not also been extended to the field of information and communication studies, judged by the unpopular regulatory policies the government has imposed on all mass media. It is such a pity to deny the manifestation of the channels to our voices; at the end we are not heard. If the past didn’t pinpoint such a niche, then I believe the time is ripe for such a manifestation It is often said that “we cannot not communicate” or rather everything must always be communicated. Communication forms the basis of most of the lives we live, from transactions to sporting, political campaigns to global diplomacies, socializations to peace pacts and all that surrounds us. I am therefore committed to change our nation and the entire globe to be an entity for better communication; a channel for reforms, better education, proper empowerment and most of all a society common to all.
