Observations of marketing aspects at a retail store AFFILIATION: Observations of marketing aspects at a retail storeWalmart is the best retail giant in USA which was the pioneer in introducing the concept of Every Day Low Price (EDLP). The main idea behind the inauguration of this store was to offer the entire range of household items, groceries, electrical appliances and other products and services at low prices at one single destination. It has promoted the idea of helping people globally to save money and live a better life anywhere and anytime.

Presently, it is serving about 245 million people through its retail and online retail stores (Walmart, 2013). I am a regular customer of Walmart who prefers to visit the store for purchasing the household items and I occasionally buy the items from its online store. Following are the major marketing aspects of Walmart:1. Placement of products – As the customers want easy access to the products, there is proper assortment of each product category. Even there is a wide selection range which allows me to make purchasing decisions effectively.2. Posters of the latest deals – Any new deal is displayed in the form of posters at the entrance.

With the help of these advertisements, I am informed about the price saving options available for me in the store.3. Distinctive shelves for promotion of new items in market – The latest products are displayed in the form of shelves in the respective category area so that the customers are informed about the latest addition. Most of the time I try out new things on the basis of these advertisements.4. Friendly customer support staff – It has an excellent staff who is always willing to help the customers.

The personnel make sure that any queries are addressed and as a customer I have had a marvelous shopping experience in the store.I am impressed by the marketing aspects of the retail store and I prefer to do my shopping there as it is convenient, time saving and affordable for me.ReferenceWalmart.
