Evaluating a Company’s External Environment The emergence of 3D printing is something that is worth smiling about due to the numerous advantages that comes with it. In addition to this, the ease of using 3D auto cards for designing has even made the process simpler. Many companies have decided to embrace 3D printing and have substituted papers with plastics. It is a technology that has attracted so much attention that NASA has ventured into more research on how to print food. Currently there are about 400 online 3D printing logos online.

With the help in technology it is easy to acquire such logos. 3D has been embraced as lifestyle and something that is more practical. It is more practical since hobbyist have the advantage of printing out anything they wish at any time with the modest technology. While reviewing the external environment it is important that we address the following points. One of them is the cost of production. It is evident that the use of 3D printers is more affordable compared to other manufacturing processes.

Plastic filaments are costing as cheap as $ 30 to $50 per spool. It will be necessary that if a company is to maximize profits in this business then the company must be able to customize cheaply so as to reduce the cost of production. For a company to compete effectively there is need to ensure that you invest properly in high quality plastics. It is evident that most of the companies investing in production of 3D printing are using a poor quality of plastics. As a manager you don’t want your customers to throw away the entire product just because of a broken plastic part.

Thingiverse is a design library that provides a good solution to such cases as it offers diverse and modest designers for plastic parts. Apart from motivating your customers this will also help them save on costs of repairs and maintenance. Ryan McMaster is an example of those who have benefited from 3D designers. Her mother’s 1996 Mustang Coupe was restored by simply using a 3D designer. One of the most important concepts to remain competitively advantageous in the market is to be unique. Investing in techniques and ideas which are not easily imitated is one of the ways of remaining competitive in the 3D printing market.

With almost 400 3D printers design available online, this business is likely to be flooded in the near future. For this reason, there is need to invest in designs that are copy right protected as well as ones which are not easily imitated. Due to the rapid development in technology it will be important that an organization willing to beat all the external factors affecting the 3D printing services engage in rapid research and development in the same area. Justin Levinson who is a technological consultant raises similar opinion and believes that advancement of 3D designing and printing begins with solving our simple problems.

Consequently, intensive training and proper research in technology is likely to solve all our problems. For example, a man in Moscow was able to print a custom adapter that which helped him in connecting two incompatible parts of his Canon camera. This costs him $5 to $20. However, the cost of a new adapter in the shop is worth 10 times more than what he used.
