American Apparel American Apparel’s social responsibility and its importance to the company American Apparel is a cloth wear company where the Americans do their wear shopping. The company stocks different kinds of cloth wears that are specifically designed to cater for the customers’ tastes and preferences. In the company, raw materials used are usually organic fibers that are user friendly thus preventing environmental degradation. The company uses these raw materials in line with the objectives of the environmental preservation in the country.

The company ensures that the sourcing of the employees outside America is discouraged; the company has employed about 10,000 people in its undertaking to ensure its sustainability in the production.Riggs suggests that, through the concept of having the pro-labor practices in the company, the company has been able to ensure that all the employees are effectively involved in the undertakings of the company as well as in the decision making (54). The availability of the employees’ motivational incentives such as bonuses for the employees is what keeps the employees motives high in their duties.

This usually motivates them in their positions thus enhancing the success of the company.The employees have their job secured in the company; they are always secured of retaining their positions at all the times. The job security is offered to the employees regardless of their positions in the company. Employees are also provided with a payment that is able to sustain their livelihood as it’s always above the minimum wage of the country, their payment is about double of the minimum wage of a country such as California.

This is a total motivation to the employees thus improving their performance.American Apparel has gained international recognition through its loyalty to the employees, as well as the customers. Citizens all over the country value the quality clothing of the company thus creating demand for their products. Therefore, this increases the company’s profitability and enhances the company’s financial level. The company’s interrelation with the customers has promoted peoples incentives in promoting environmental conservation.

The problem with the American ApparelThe Company’s mode of advertisement has reached to the extent of becoming a sexual harassment, as argued by some of the parents. Through the use of some nude advertising pictures, the pictures are been extensive of the ethical codes that are socially expected in the country. According to a consumer’s experience, there are sexually illusive photos that are abusive to the youths. However, teenagers form the most clients despite the immoral pictures. For instance, the teenage girl does not seem to mind them, but rather chooses her preferred clothes, which according to her parent, are not ethically fit for a proper presentation.

Carney’s role in marketing strategy of the companyAccording to Lin, the mode of marketing through the advertisements, Carney as the CEO of the company should enhance ethically fit adverts that are not sexually harassing to the customers despite their differences (65). In the company’s marketing strategy, the company ought to clearly and strategically have methodologies that promote the relationship with the community rather than the accused adverts that are associated with sexual harassments.

This way, the company’s profile would be retained thus regaining customer’s loyalty. The customers’ loyalty would be lost through the poor methods of the marketing strategy.American Apparel value on ethical advertisement practices.American Apparel practice of ethically fit marketing strategy, advertisements, would regain the customers’ loyalty towards the company thus having the maximum profitability of the company. The American Apparel use of proper adverts would help in gaining finances that would help catering for all its financial needs like the repayments of its debts.
