Quantitative Research Affiliation Quantitative study The financial stability of an airline company is observable in its ability to maintain its profit margins regardless of the prevailing circumstances that could have led to its fall. If this has to happen it does not have to greatly affect the running of the airlines activities. In order to carry out this plan, an analysis of the profitability in the transport services from the three Qantas brands will have to be established. Offering discount services in a bid to fill the unsold seats can possibly impact on the airlines profitability disproportionately.

This analysis will be done through comparison of the costs of operating with these discounts and without operating with these discounts. In line with this, the market share will also have to be evaluated for the domestic market as well as the international market (Kaps, 2000). The situations that allow the disproportionate performance will be evaluated to establish the causative factors. An analysis of the profitability of the airline’s operations will be conducted. It will involve how the closing down of loss route making routes have impacted on the airline’s performance and profitability, inclusive of the possible alternatives.

An evaluation of the retiring of the old aircrafts and consolidating of maintenance tasks will also be carried out. How the current trends in the airline business have been performing in relation to the other opponents in the marketplace will have to be established. This will help the project managers to have a precise picture of the business scenario that they are dealing with, and it will in turn improve on the decision making process. They will be able to make valid recommendations based on an exact picture of what they are dealing with (Kaps, 2000).

Personal opinion on the assignment The assignment is on point, and it actually delivers on the projects basics in a precise manner. The language is simple making it easy to understand, and theres coherence in the flow of ideas which are great. Reference Kaps, R. W. (2000). Fiscal aspects of aviation management.
