Extract of sample "Marketing Functions"

The marketing manager studies the weaknesses and the strength of the market together with the opportunities and threats this market offers to the organization. The finding allows for a strategy that allows the organization to maximize the strengths and the opportunities available for success. The second step is marketing planning which aims to find out and utilize solid strategies of the organization in ensuring the success of the marketing objectives. The overall efforts of marketing of the organization are outlined, and the necessary tactics and strategies are drawn to ensure the feasibility and success of the plan. It motivates the organizational staff as well as aligns the strategies to the mission of the organization (Giglierano, Vitale, and Pfoertsch 15–45).

Marketing implementation is a process in the marketing responsible for turning the plans and designs into actions. Here the manager utilizes all organizational resources according to the plan to achieve the set-out plan for the organization. The tasks are assigned and the timeline within which the goals are to be met is monitored. The final step in the marketing process is marketing control. This process allows the marketing manager to monitor measure and adjust the plans as needed. Measurement, monitoring, and evaluation is ongoing process in this step to ensure the stated objectives are achieved (Kotler and Armstrong 56–85).
