Crime Televisions, radios and newspapers are the types of media. It heavily influences us in our daily lives. We are informed about the latest findings of sciences, daily news about our surroundings, and a lot more. Movies are one of the products of this industry. It reflects human encounters in life; it may be about our daily dramas in life which includes about murder, domestic abuse, robbery, and harassments. Do these movies really reflect what people are undergoing Or it just exaggerates things and is totally different in true to life bases There will be four films that will be tackled about murder, terrorism, and betrayals. In these four films we will be able to see if the products of media today (films) are more of reality and are already foreseeing the future. Empire of the Wolves (2002) This movie is based on a novel by Jean Christophe Grange and tells a story of young idealistic police captain Paul Nerteaux (Jocelyn Quivirin) who has just taken over the case of three Turkish women seamstresses in Paris' Turkish community. Paul decides to get help from retired cop Jean Louis Schiffer (Jean Reno), as he had patrolled the area for over 20 years but is known for his unorthodox methods. The movie is an investigation about murders of a three women being subjected into an experiment. Though Paul tried to get with Schiffer about the crime he was torn between the judgments of the people about his collaboration on the retired cop who practice the unorthodox way of investigating the crime. Even the doctor in charge about the autopsy has given him warnings about the Schiffer. The crime was projected in the movie is actually a crime about experimenting human bodies for new treatment discoveries. It is a form of murder, which is a violation to law and also a form of violation to medical, or bioethics. What's so real about this movie is the implementation of the violation about bioethics. In Bioethics, humans should not be part of the any technological or any experiments. Experiments should only be limited on a few forms of animals (like mice). In real life, scientists are truly imprisoned and license is taken from them if they practice experiments with humans just like in this movie where they use surgeries and implants. In real life, so far, there has been no news about scientists totally doing experiments on humans due to the imposed law about ethics. They are only practicing their findings limited to lab rats, sheep, and other animals. This media product though is not far from impossible to happen in the near future. I say it's a little bit of advancement of science that violates the law. The investigation by the two cops was a mixture of the orthodox and unorthodox way of doing it. It happens, especially when the officers assigned in such cases are of different principles. Fallen Angel (2000) This is a movie about deception and jealousy. Pedro Hernandez and his beautiful wife, Michelle are the main character of the movie. Michelle hires a rugged private detective Robert Millus to thwart her husband's plot to kill her; and Hernandez hires an ugly assassin, Tito to find out with whom she's having an affair with. This movie evolves about betrayal in a relationship and also murder. There have been many cases about adultery and there have been instances also that due to the said crime committed, the one betrayed by the spouse can commit crime. According to the law as of the present, when you have caught your husband or wife doing an affair with somebody else, it is justified that committing a crime like killing the person your spouse is having an affair with. This movie is actually a material relating to us about how far adultery can go and can even cause to commit murder. This movie is never an exaggeration for in the society it is already happening. Due to the liberalism of the people right now moralities and ethics are on blink of challenges. In the code of ethics, some say that it is ok to commit adultery so long as not found or caught. But to anti adultery it is never moral to commit this kind of crime. This media product imposes a moral values and issues about relationships and marriage. Fight Club Young male, repressed rage comes in the form of Norton's disillusioned yuppie, emotionally numbed by chronic insomnia, who meets the answer to all his pent-up frustrations in mall content Pitt. Tyler's his name and anarchy is his game as the duo eventually establishes fight clubs where the participants beat each other up and stage massive acts of terrorism to undermine the allure of consumerism. Bonham Carter plays a kinky, death-obsessed woman both men fancy. Flincher heads for the dark side again and puts a middle finger on the pulse of several hot topics without missing a beat or skirting the issues. This movie is based on a novel by Chuck Palahniuk and is directed by Javit Fincher. This movie is a reflection of terrorism act. The fight club established in this movie is more of a form of hazing just like that of the fraternities. The participants fight and beat up each other. Though it is picture of manhood as dominance is displayed this is still a form of crime for it displays violence in the society. This movie is never impossible to happen; as a matter of fact it is very rampant in street groups and gangs. Riots are the result of this violence especially when this kind of groups meets up and dominates in certain territories and soon will result to crime. This media product is an implication of how rampant violence is nowadays. It is even true to teenagers and they are usually subject to this kind of crimes. The film is of a good material about the reality of violence and the act of terrorism. Rush hour 2 (2004) The mismatched cop duo investigates several bombings in Hong Kong attributed to Chinese gang leader Ricky Tan (Jonh Lone) and assassin Zhang Ziyi, whose beautiful, ballistic kick packs a head-ringing wallop. A fish out of water in exotic Hong Kong, Tucker talks his way into reams of trouble, saved time and again by Chan's frantic fighting. Through the two detectives are taken off the bombing case. Unpaid debts between Chan and the criminals lead the detectives back to the U.S. and into the middle of an international counterfeiting racket that only Chan and Tucker can expose. This movie displays a crime about gangs circulating fake money. The two investigators are implicating how murders and violence may be possible due to deception (fake money bills). This film is a form of visualization to those mafias, groups, and gangs that are involve in terrorism and murders. Nowadays, these kinds of groups are the one of the roots of the crimes that is happening around us. Hostages and ransom are the most cases involved in them. Some groups are into illegal drug trafficking and other form of syndicates. The four movies mentioned are films with a distinct moral issues and topics about different kinds of crimes that people may commit. These are mostly murder, adultery, violence, and violation to codes of ethics. These films are forms of media that try to tell us about how people are violent today and how radical is the society of today. Motion pictures like films are sometimes the main cause of violent deeds and crimes. They are not just the materials that share moral lessons. As what mentioned I this paper they are they are stories in acted to present to the public that will surely influence the viewers, especially children (Tomas Kovacs, 2006). But films when viewed by the audience and are guided with elders when viewing with minors will serve an eye opener for us to be exposed on the reality about crimes in the society and how we tackle the justice given to the victims. Social Scientists asserts film and other forms of mass media communication play a very important role in the "social construction reality". Experiences of humans are the mere reason why we have knowledge and this knowledge are only impart to others through media and other forms of communication. In films for example, justice about crimes in a moving picture may share to us about things done to convicts and the processes done with the trial of a crime (Films and Reality, 2006). People will be knowledgeable with there rights and they will know about policing, courts, corrections, and convictions even though they are not policemen and Prosecutors. Films will show the consequences about committing crimes and law violations. Though there are those films that are exaggeration of the reality about crimes and justice there are still those materials that can be a source of moral lessons and issues.
