How the organization’s of ethics requires an ethics analysis for any performance tool? and Section # of How the organization’s code of ethics requires an ethics analysis for any performance tool? Guillermo Furniture Store Analysis Any organization existing in the world owes not just salaries to their employees, money to their suppliers, getting money from the customers, etc. but there are more aspects to the societal norms for an organization to cater to rather than just playing with money.

An organization owes a lot to the society where it exists, some analysts’ call it pay back to the base that allows them to grow and earn. Along the similar lines, the concepts of social or corporate social responsibilities come into play. The social responsibilities of an organization also count a lot towards the ethical aspect that an organization serves towards the society. Ethics is a broad term in itself with variant meanings given to it by different individuals since ethics is most commonly described as a subjective code of conduct that varies from person to person.

Ethics are not restricted to environmental pollution or assisting the handicapped individuals, as one would assume but goes much beyond that. Ethics also include how an organization tends to behave towards its competitors, dealing with the competition, and how it goes about managing the competitive arena. In the given case of Guillermo Furniture Store, earlier the organization was operating in a kind of monopolistic environment. Today, it has started getting threatened from the new entrant due to their ability to invest in technological advancements and get low cost furniture prepared using lesser labor, which though is inexpensive but mechanical jobs are assumed to be more precise in terms of structuring, etc.

Nonetheless, the competition is driving the margins low. At this point in time, the organization is looking to pull back the competition. The firm should rather be looking forward to bringing technology for the advancement of the society and such advancements would move the society forward. Rather than moving forward and competing on a constructive note, the firm is looking forward for becoming a distributor for the competitors. This would give a competitive edge to the firm since it would be charging the distribution margin towards its competitors that would ultimately drive up the competitor costs.

Though competitors see this as an easy option because the firm has a wide distribution channel so that is a plus point for the competition. In terms of ethics, the organization’s code of ethics requires an ethics analysis for its performance and planning tools, because the way this issue has been approached does not strike very good towards the society. The society sees this as a move to cut the competition or to lead them towards permanent paralysis, whereby the competitors become dependent on the business to have their products distributed towards the customers.

This strongly calls for an ethics analyses for the planning tool.
