Due to limited resources, the students are deprived of having a quality education, which is needed by the students. Primarily, the need for literacy programs for the students is at bay so the problem for them to read and write is a major concern in order for the students to have at least a capital for them to ascend into the next level of education. So the need for a library is evident.Community Analysis for Sedgefield Elementary School 2To analyze the library that is present in the vicinity in this small community in Charlotte particularly the Sedge field media center, it caters to different people from students as young as five years old up to working professionals.

The materials that it presents should have at least be updated in order for the people to enjoy and further exploit it services to the fullest considering the fact that it should cater the need of the people, and the students for its purpose to be served in a way that it complies with the standards prescribed by the government.The library should also collect books that are essential in order to have a compilation of different kinds of literature that are needed by the students and the people that access the library.

Considering the fact that the majority of these people are students, then the library must have different collections of books, journals, periodicals, and the likes in order to provide them the needed and latest materials for their endeavors and studies which will be a big factor for their academic performance. However, the library could not accommodate the large number of the community which is a big problem considering the fact that the library should be there in order to satisfy the needs of the people in the community.

All in all, the library still needs expansion of space and updating of materials in order to fill the needs of a greater amount of people.After all, Webster (2006) defined library as "a place in which literary, musical, artistic, or reference materials (as books, manuscripts, recordings, or films) are kept for use but not for sale." Therefore this establishment should have different materials that are accessible to the people, and practically, it should be free of charge.
