Since time immemorial followers of one religion have mercilessly persecuted followers of another religion. Whether it was the Crusades or Jihad both were religious wars waged on one another. The Jews have faced persecution down the ages whether it was at the hands of the Egyptians when they were delivered by Moses or whether it was the holocaust in Nazi Germany.
Ironically the Old Testament is common for Christians, Jews and Muslims. But the Jews believe that Moses was their saviour and have their own set of religious codes based on the 10 Commandments. The Muslims base their conviction on the Koran and believe that Mohammad was the prophet sent by God to relieve the world of all evil. The Christians take their name from Christ and believe that Jesus was God’s son. The New Testament differs for all the three religions. The Bible is an amalgamation of both the Old and the New Testament. Islam and Jews refuse to acknowledge the existence of the New Testament.
